The Georgia Bulldogs beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 33-18 on Monday night to claim the program’s first national championship since 1980.
But did the Bulldogs really win it all? Can we really believe what we saw on TV?
Well, according to one Alabama fan, no, Georgia didn’t beat the Crimson Tide in Indianapolis in the College Football Playoff championship game.
Fred from Alabama called into the Paul Finebaum Show on Thursday and refused to acknowledge that Georgia beat Alabama.
According to Fred, Georgia’s win against Alabama shouldn’t count because Crimson Tide wide receivers Jameson Williams and John Metchie were injured during the game and didn’t return.
Check out Fred’s passionate argument:

Fred does have a point. The outcome of the game could’ve been completely different with Metchie and Williams on the field for the entire 60 minutes.
But that’s not how college football (or any sport) works. It’s next man up when someone gets hurt. Injuries are part of the game.
Unfortunately for Fred, the Bulldogs are the champs.
