The 2025 NFL Draft is officially less than a month away! Plenty of teams have made major free agency moves or notable trades to affect their draft needs in recent weeks.
With that in mind, myself and my A to Z Sports colleague Rob Gregson ran through a two-round NFL mock draft scenario.
2025 2-Round NFL Mock Draft
Round One
In round one, we alternated picks, with myself picking at the odds and Rob at the even selections.
1) Tennessee Titans: Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
This pick feels all but guaranteed at this point. Of course, things are fluid, but I would be surprised if the Titans pass up on a chance to draft their long-term answer at quarterback. Brian Callahan gets his new leader of the offense.
2) Cleveland Browns: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Only the Browns know for sure what they will do at two, but Myles Garrett doesn't rescind his trade request and ink another long term deal if the Browns don't sell him on a QB plan. That plan is Sanders. — Gregson
3) New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
Well, with Sanders off the board and the recent additions of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, New York takes the coolest swing of the draft. Hunter wants to and expects himself to play both wideout and cornerback in the NFL. No matter what – he may be elite in at least one of those categories.
4) New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Pats need a pass rush, and Carter is the best pure player in the draft according to many in and outside of the league. Starting the Vrabel era off with a potential double-digit sack-getter only makes sense. — Gregson
5) Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
Graham is a popular pick here – for good reason. He would immediately have a role inside for Jacksonville, and he's one of the best defensive prospects in this class. Don't overthink this if you're the Jags.
6) Las Vegas Raiders: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Campbell might not have the longest arms, but as he would tell you, turn on the tape and watch him play. The best pure lineman in the class, the Raiders would love to add a franchise tackle in April. — Gregson
7) New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
New York goes after a new weapon for Justin Fields. Warren is a player who ran the ball, caught the ball, and even threw the ball as a Nittany Lion. Take the talent and let him do plenty for your offense.
8) Carolina Panthers: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Panthers have a lot of needs and the RB position is not as valuable as OT or even another WR. But Carolina is likely to make a play for a back and some point in the draft, and they can take one of the best in years with Jeanty. — Gregson
9) New Orleans Saints: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
New Orleans is a bit tough to project because they have filled some needs during free agency. McMillan is a perfect trio member for Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. At 6'4 and 220 pounds, he can be the large, downfield threat that the Saints need.
10) Chicago Bears: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The Bears spent the offseason revitalizing the interior of their offensive line. And while their tackle duo is suitable. Membou has a 10-year starter written all over him. Ben Johnson watched success start with the offensive line while in Detroit, so look for him to take that to Chicago. — Gregson
11) San Francisco 49ers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Walker is one of the most consistent risers in this class. The 49ers increase their pass rush and improve their potential run-stopping force with Walker, who can play at multiple levels of a defense. Fred Warner gets even better with Walker on the field.
12) Dallas Cowboys: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Cowboys keep the former Texas Longhorn at home and find an ideal running mate opposite of CeeDee Lamb with Golden. An offense that needs more explosion and weapons for Dak Prescott, Golden’s vertical presence would create a lot of big plays for the Cowboys. — Gregson
13) Miami Dolphins: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Getting a new chess piece for the defense in Miami seems vital after the departure of Jevon Holland. Starks is an incredibly cerebral football player that played a multitude of positions for Georgia throughout his career.
14) Indianapolis Colts: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
The Colts are still searching for their Darius Shaq Leonard replacement. They can find that and then some with Campbell. A field general with modern athleticism, Campbell can be a figurehead in a new-look Colts defense. — Gregson
15) Atlanta Falcons: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Physical anomaly. That's Stewart in a nutshell. He tested off the charts (nearly literally) at the NFL Scouting Combine and could develop into a great pass rusher at the pro level. The Falcons must improve in that department somewhere in this draft.
16) Arizona Cardinals: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon is slowly but surely building his defense into what he had during his time in Philadelphia. In order to do that, you need a lockdown corner and Johnson is exactly that. — Gregson
17) Cincinnati Bengals: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
I considered adding a secondary player here, or maybe even an offensive guard. Instead, I grabbed a pass rusher for Cincy because their defensive line struggled so much a season ago outside of Trey Hendrickson. If they can get him extended, a pairing of he and Pearce would be riveting to watch.
18) Seattle Seahawks: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
The Seahawks are obviously in an age of transition after multiple departures. Rebuilds start with solidifying the foundation with franchise starters. Tyler Booker is exactly that and with the Seahawks line needing all the help he can get, Booker fits like a glove. — Gregson
19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
The Bucs are frustrated by the recent picks in this mock. A couple talented pass rushers went off the board, and Jihaad Campbell did not fall to them. Grabbing one of the most dynamic defensive backs in the entire class is not a bad fall-back option, though. Todd Bowles would love Barron's energy and effort on defense.
20) Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Sean Payton largely overturned a mess of an offensive line in his first year in Denver. Now it's about finding weapons for his QB Bo Nix, and Egbuka is the perfect option to play the Z opposite of Courtland Sutton. — Gregson
21) Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Not many better fits in this mock than Grant landing in Pittsburgh. They need a space-filling interior defensive lineman, and Grant is a nice athlete for his size. Mike Tomlin may pound the table for Grant at this point in round one.
22) Los Angeles Chargers: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
With Joey Bosa gone and Khalil Mack on the backend of his prime, the Chargers and more specifically Jim Harbaugh want to continue to instill their culture through the trenches, and that’s what happens here with Mykel Williams. — Gregson
23) Green Bay Packers: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
Pass rusher remains a top need for Green Bay following free agency. Green is an athletic freak who is a better run defender than most expect when evaluating him. Solid value for the green and gold.
24) Minnesota Vikings: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Vikings will have the hitman back for another year, but Harrison Smith won't be in the Purple and Gold forever. So why not find his successor and a perfect fit for Brian Flores’ defense via Emmanwori. — Gregson
25) Houston Texans: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Simmons immediately nabs a starting role in Houston. Their offensive line has felt quite the shake-up this offseason, particularly after trading away Laremy Tunsil. Simmons is fantastic value here, as long as his medicals are all clear.
26) Los Angeles Rams: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The slide for Banks stops with the Rams, who are in the middle of contending for a Super Bowl while also preparing for the future. Banks offers a higher ceiling than the current tackle group in Los Angeles, so don’t be surprised if he ends up in Los Angeles. — Gregson
27) Baltimore Ravens: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
Baltimore has taken swings on "traitsy", projectable pass rushers in recent years. Many haven't worked out too well. In this scenario, they take the production and high floor of Ezeiruaku, who can play a role in year one for the Ravens' defense.
28) Detroit Lions: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
The Lions have one of the better top-to-bottom rosters in the league. But there is a pretty big hole in their WR corps and Luther Burden could fill that need. — Gregson
29) Washington Commanders: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State
The secondary in Washington needs another playmaker. Enter Thomas, who bursted onto the season in his final season in college. Washington's pass defense gets a lot grittier with this pick.
30) Buffalo Bills: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota State
The Bills can use some help along both interiors, but with much of the offense in place, adding a finishing touch like Zabel to the offensive line can solidify a young corps around Josh Allen for years to come. — Gregson
31) Kansas City Chiefs: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
The Chiefs have already shown some interest in Ersery, and he's projected to be around here in many mock drafts. His prototypical size is a piece of the pie that KC will prefer, and they simply cannot keep placing a band-aid on the massive wound that is their OT situation in front of Patrick Mahomes.
32) Philadelphia Eagles: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
With Dallas Goedert on the trade block and Philly boasting one of the best rosters in the sport, the Eagles could replenish the defensive line after the loss of Milton Williams, but why not add another weapon for Jalen Hurts and one of the league’s most dynamic offenses. — Gregson
Round 2
As for round two, we alternated two picks at a time in that pattern. I began the round picking for Cleveland and New York.
33) Cleveland Browns: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
34) New York Giants: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
35) Tennessee Titans: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
36) Jacksonville Jaguars: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame
37) Las Vegas Raiders: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
38) New England Patriots: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
39) Chicago Bears: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
40) New Orleans Saints: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
41) Chicago Bears: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
42) New York Jets: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
43) San Francisco 49ers: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
44) Dallas Cowboys: Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
45) Indianapolis Colts: Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State
46) Atlanta Falcons: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
47) Arizona Cardinals: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
48) Miami Dolphins: Wyatt Milum, OL, West Virginia
49) Cincinnati Bengals: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State
50) Seattle Seahawks: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford
51) Denver Broncos: Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami
52) Seattle Seahawks: Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State
53) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU
54) Green Bay Packers: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
55) Los Angeles Chargers: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
56) Buffalo Bills: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
57) Carolina Panthers: Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State
58) Houston Texans: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
59) Baltimore Ravens: Marcus Mbow, OL, Purdue
60) Detroit Lions: Jonah Savaiinaea, IOL, Arizona
61) Washington Commanders: Tate Ratledge, IOL, Georgia
62) Buffalo Bills: Jack Bech, WR, TCU
63) Kansas City Chiefs: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
64) Philadelphia Eagles: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
