Final 2026 NFL Draft Top 250 Big Board: Every single prospect set to be selected after Fernando Mendoza
The 2026 NFL Draft is finally here. The only thing set in stone is Fernando Mendoza to the Las Vegas Raiders. Where does the rest of this class stack up? The A to Z Sports NFL scouting staff ranks our Top 250 prospects.
The 2026 NFL Draft is here. It’s time for our final Top 250 Big Board here at A to Z Sports.
Our A to Z Sports NFL Draft team has done an excellent job predicting future drafts in recent years. Our collective 2025 rankings predicted nearly 90% of the variance in the Top 100 picks of last spring’s NFL Draft. That’s going to be tough to beat, but our team has dug deep to create this collaborative Top 250 Big Board, to see if we can predict the future once more.
We’ve added some new faces to our NFL Draft team this year, so here are all the contributors (and the teams they primarily cover) who helped with these rankings and will be pumping out excellent draft content year-round:
Adam Holt – Philadelphia Eagles
AJ Schulte – Oklahoma Sooners
Destin Adams – Indianapolis Colts
Joe DeLeone – New York Giants
Kyle Crabbs – Miami Dolphins
Rob Gregson – Pittsburgh Steelers
Ryan Roberts – Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Tyler Forness – Minnesota Vikings
Travis May – College Football & NFL Draft Managing Editor
For those unfamiliar with our prospect grading system that we use every draft season, it’s a scale from 1 to 10 (that you’ll see in parentheses next to each prospect). 9+ is first-round lock. 8.00-8.99 is possible first-round player. 7.00-7.99 is day two. 6.00-6.99 is possible day two or early day three. 5.00-5.99 is mid day three. 4.00-4.99 is late day three. Everything below 4 is undrafted free agent territory. Enjoy the big board, and let us know what you believe we have right or wrong, @AtoZSportsNFL on X.
First-Round 2026 NFL Draft Prospects
- Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana (9.75)
- Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL) (9.68)
- Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL) (9.64)
- Caleb Downs, SAF, Ohio State (9.41)
- Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State (9.33)
- David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech (9.29)
- Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia (9.28)
- Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame (9.20)
- Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State (9.19)
- Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State (9.18)
- Spencer Fano, OT, Utah (9.17)
- Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU (9.14)
- Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee (9.02)
- Olaivavega Ioane, IOL, Penn State (9.00)
This tier is stacked to the brim with safe first-round prospects. Fernando Mendoza is obviously going first overall. The rest should all go inside the first 20 picks, no matter what.
Rueben Bain Jr. may drop a bit due to his arm length and off-field concerns (that have surfaced recently), but he should still go in the top half of round one. Jermod McCoy’s injury recovery concerns are very real. If anyone drops very far from this blue chip talent tier, it’s likely him since he still may require further medical assistance ahead of his rookie year.
Our rankings vary just a bit versus the consensus since we’re higher on Francis Mauigoa and Monroe Freeling, but that’s not a knock on elite playmakers like Jeremiyah Love and Sonny Styles (considered consensus top-five picks).
Possible First-Round 2026 NFL Draft Prospects
- Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State (8.95)
- Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon (8.80)
- Makai Lemon, WR, USC (8.79)
- Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (8.79)
- Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson (8.70)
- Dillon Thieneman, SAF, Oregon (8.68)
- Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn (8.66)
- Peter Woods, DT, Clemson (8.65)
- Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State (8.59)
- Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah (8.52)
- Caleb Banks, DT, Florida (8.49)
- KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M (8.39)
- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, SAF, Toledo (8.26)
- CJ Allen, LB, Georgia (8.25)
- Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame (8.25)
- R Mason Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma (8.23)
- Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&M (8.20)
- Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee (8.13)
- Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (FL) (8.12)
- Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State (8.05)
- Chris Bell, WR, Louisville (8.05)
- Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana (8.05)
- Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M (8.04)
- Blake Miller, OT, Clemson (8.01)
There may be a few players who could sneak into the first round outside of this group, but not many. This list is full of players who have been rising quickly throughout the 2026 NFL Draft process.
Kenyon Sadiq tested as the most athletic tight end in NFL Combine history. Dillon Thieneman confirmed he can pair his elite athleticism with three years of All-American-level play at safety. Omar Cooper Jr. dominated down the stretch at wide receiver for Indiana on the way to a national championship and continues to rise into the first-round conversation.
There are a few questions with most of these players, but that’s why they’re in the “possible first-round” tier. Chris Bell is still recovering from injury. Cashius Howell has short arms. Akheem Mesidor is already 25 years old. Still, the talent levels all warrant first-round consideration.
Likely Day Two 2026 NFL Draft Prospects

- Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State (7.04)
- Kyle Louis, LB, Pittsburgh (7.03)
- Cole Payton, QB, North Dakota State (7.03)
This tier marks where the A to Z Sports NFL Draft team begins to diverge quickly from consensus.
Our team is a bit higher on running backs like Jonah Coleman and Mike Washington thanks to their production profiles and athleticism. Ted Hurst is “our guy” at the wide receiver position thanks to his impressive size-speed combination and explosive proven production (albeit against weaker competition). Cole Payton sneaking into the mid-round-three range for us likely surprises some, but he has all the physical traits to be worth a confident mid-round shot.
The A to Z Sports crew is completely split on talents like Dani Dennis-Sutton and Kyle Louis, but the average placed them just inside this “safe day two” prospects tier.

- Zane Durant, DT, Penn State (6.04)
- Keyshaun Elliott, LB, Arizona State (6.02)
This tier is normally a much more narrow group, but the 2026 NFL Draft is full of prospects that the entire scouting community disagrees on in the middle rounds.
Most drafts see much more discussion or confidence in projecting players like Antonio Williams (who tops this tier). Unfortunately, our staff, sources on the vast majority of NFL teams, and the vast majority of those who analyze prospects are completely split on this large group.
There is a ton of physical upside with natural arm talents like Drew Allar. Several players have converted positions or even now play multiple spots like Jaishawn Barham (linebacker and edge), Harold Perkins (changed positions every season for LSU), Zakee Wheatley (from corner to pure safety), and Zane Durant (from linebacker/edge to interior defensive line). There are speedster one-trick pony players like Brenen Thompson and Deion Burks (both undersized wide receivers) who possess home-run threat ability.
Every single one of these players offers at least one critical attribute that gives NFL teams hope they could change a roster. However, there seems to be a healthy amount of questions with many of the profiles too, and our team agrees. Which is why we have a massive tier of “possible day two” players list that extends nearly to the end of round four.

Once the 2026 NFL Draft gets beyond the middle of round four, just like most every other draft, all bets are off. In most years, the best projection methods can nail about 85% of the names off the board through the first three rounds. By the end of round four, that typically drops below 80%. By the end of round five, there are players who are hearing their names called that are deemed undrafted free agent talents by many NFL teams.
We’ll be back with more NFL Draft coverage here at A to Z Sports soon! If you enjoyed this big board or would like to let us know what you thought, just reach out to me personally (@FF_TravisM) or go to A to Z Sports on X (@AtoZSportsNFL) to find all the latest football news!
