Fans have been asking the Atlanta Falcons to address their defensive line for quite some time.

But they continue to push it off to future years. Well, that changes in a new A to Z Sports mock draft as Falcons fans finally get the pass rusher they've been begging for.

Falcons land Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams in new mock draft

"Atlanta had an opportunity to pick any defensive player in the class last year and they didn't do it. Now they're averaging the fewest sacks per game of any team in the NFL. Mykel Williams stays in Georgia."

New A to Z Sports mock draft

The Falcons' current sack leader is linebacker Kaden Ellis, who has four on the year, and their sack leader on the defensive line is Matthew Judon, who has 3.5. They lack a true difference-maker who can disrupt an opposing offense and make the quarterback's life difficult. And in this mock, they don't have to go far as they keep a Georgia Bulldog in the state.

Mykel Williams has recorded 14.0 sacks and 23 tackles for loss during his three-year college career. He just set his career high with five sacks in a career-low 11 games, and his great length and athleticism lead many to believe he could take a big step as a pass rusher once he makes the jump to the pro level. So, at worst, the Falcons would get a three-down lineman who can stop the run effectively and play second fiddle to a player to be acquired later, and at best, the Falcons can unlock his full skill set and help him develop into the top-tier alpha pass rusher they've been searching for.
