The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly parting ways with a veteran from the defense.

Baltimore is set to release OLB Tyus Bowser as the new league year gets underway. The move will clear $5.5 million in cap space for the Ravens, which will help them out on the books.

Bowser was a second-round pick of the Ravens back in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Houston. He has spent all seven seasons of his career with Baltimore but missed the 2023 season with a knee injury. In 2022, Bowser was only able to suit up for two games.

Baltimore got the best out of Bowser in 2021 when he started all 17 games and recorded a career-high seven sacks, 59 tackles, and a par of force fumbles.

Now at age 28, Bowser will have the opportunity to sign with any team as a free agent. Expect the Ravens to add at the position in free agency with Jadeveon Clowney being a current free agent as well.

Bowser gave the Ravens solid depth for quite a few years and now he is moving on. You can stay up to date with all of the moves that Baltimore makes during free agency here
