The Chicago Bears were given a new breath of fresh air this offseason with the hiring of head coach Ben Johnson, a move that won't only help just the players but boost the entire organization.

The results of the 2024 season and the impact it had on the entire organization was a major wakeup call that change needed to occur for this team to move forward.

The unconventional approach toward landing the top coaching candidate was a great start and now even more work is being done to improve the organization.

Every year, the NFL Players Association releases report cards for all 32 teams based on a variety of different factors. For the Chicago Bears, the three lowest grades the organization received were for head coach (C), food/dining area (C+), and treatment of families (C+).

Replacing former head coach Matt Eberflus with a well respected up-in-coming candidate in Ben Johnson will certainly elevate the head coach ranking in 2025, especially given the level of accountability he will bring to the building.

On Tuesday, the Bears took another step toward addressing one of those low grades from 2024 that everyone in the building will love to hear.

According to Gary Ross, the Bears have partnered with local celebrity chef Jeff Mauro to look into the food options available at Halas Hall. Mauro is the host of Sandwich King & The Kitchen on Food Network and is always involved in helping out the city.

Working with someone like Mauro to address the food options at the team facility will be a welcome sign for the players, coaches, and other staff members based on how they felt about the food/dining last season.

Mauro already partnered with the Chicago Fire Football Club back in April bringing some new tastes to the concession stands and even sounded the alarm before the club's match at Soldier Field.

Overall, the Bears ranked 14th in the league in the NFLPA survey and improving those two big areas of weakness will only help the team strive for a better score, which in turn helps the entire organization get better in 2025.
