The 2026 NFL Draft is next week, and we’re in the final days when teams around the league will be finalizing their draft boards. With two first-round selections next week, the Cleveland Browns could go a couple of ways as we all know.

The Browns certainly need a left tackle and wide receiver help early in the draft, those are the two biggest needs. Depending on how the board works out, the Browns may not have to attack a best player available style draft. We’ll see.

To start the week I ran a 5-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft through the A to Z Sports Mock Draft Simulator. There isn’t a more complete simulator on the market while also bringing such a smooth look, and I’d say as much even if I wasn’t employed here.

Let’s get to it.

Round 1, Pick 6: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

I keep coming back to Tate as the pick and believe the Browns need to pull the trigger on selecting him if he’s there. Cleveland badly needs a WR1 profile on the team and Tate can be just that for the Browns. The next great wideout from Ohio State makes contested catches regularly, is a strong route runner, and can win in all areas of the field. It’s really simple for Cleveland if Tate is on the board.

Round 1, Pick 24: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

I went with the best player available on the board according to the A to Z Sport Mock Draft Simulator and it was landing the player who is the No. 2 safety in the draft I believe. Safety isn’t a major need for the Browns right now, but it is after this season with Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman to be free agents. Thieneman can fly all over the secondary as a safety with terrific range and he’s like a coach on the field at all times.

Round 2, Pick 39: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

Iheanachor really has only played right tackle in college outside of a game at left tackle, but it doesn’t mean the Browns wouldn’t flip him to the left side. A Nigerian player at 6-foot-6, 321 pounds who is already a plus run blocker, but has work to do as a pass blocker. Could compete to be the Day 1 starter at left tackle. A little later than I’d want the Browns to take a tackle, but it worked.

Round 3, Pick 70: Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State

The Browns need to add another pass rusher after the deal with A.J Epenesa fell through to be the Cameron Thomas replacement. Dennis-Sutton is a good run blocker and had eight sacks each of the last two seasons, but his ceiling is limited there due to his lack of pass-rush creativity—a solid pick in the third round with the upside of becoming a second EDGE.

Round 4, Pick 107: Malik Muhammad, CB, Texas

Adding cornerback depth is key because Denzel Ward’s time in Cleveland may not be for long and there isn’t much on the roster past Tyson Campbell. Muhammad can give solid rep in both man and zone coverage, but struggled against size at times with his 6-foot, 182-pound frame. Getting Muhammad at this point is solid value for a player who could end up a starter down the road.
