Pre-draft visits will wrap on Wednesday and the Cleveland Browns are working on finalizing their draft boards ahead of next week’s three-day event.

Cleveland heads into the draft with big decisions to make next Thursday with two first-round picks. It’s clear the Browns need a wide receiver and an offensive tackle, so it’ll be interesting to see which way Cleveland goes first.

The Browns are clearly preparing for every scenario, and perhaps it means taking an offensive tackle later in the draft that they really like. Cleveland has done its homework on one player specifically.

The Cleveland Browns are a team to keep an eye on for the Miami Hurricanes’ OT

According to Aaron Wilson, the Browns have had a visit with Miami OT Markell Bell, who is one of the biggest players in the 2026 NFL Draft. Bell is a towering offensive tackle prospect at 6-foot-9, 346 pounds who has played primarily left tackle.

Bell is figured to be a Day 3 pick and has some clear limitations at his size. At 6-foot-9, Bell doesn’t recover the best and has trouble with speed rushers who can bend the corner. The long frame and wing span do help Bell stay in a positive position more often than not with his reach.

Cleveland has liked large offensive tackles in the past and Dawand Jones remains on the roster. Jones is trying to play closer to 350 pounds this year, rather than 370, which he’s played at in the past. Bell could be the type of player who could come in and compete for the left tackle job along with Jones if Cleveland were to pass on a player early.

Bell made a positive jump from 2024 to 2025 with Miami and is a Day 3 offensive tackle that multiple teams are going to end up targeting. Cleveland has done its work on him and having the visit in place is notable at this point in the process.

Don’t count out the Browns doubling up on offensive tackles in this draft either. Even if Cleveland drafts one early, they may double back to Bell later on in the draft.
