The 2026 NFL Draft is over and the Cleveland Browns are walking away with 10 rookies from the current cycle. Now that the draft is over, all attention turns toward signing undrafted free agents.

Cleveland is a team that typically keeps a couple of undrafted free agents on the 53-man roster every year, and this go-around won’t be any different. You can follow along with the Browns’ undrafted free agent signings here, and they’re already on the board with their first one.

Browns have signed the brother of their first-round pick, who had a draftable grade

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafalo, the Browns have signed undrafted free agent EDGE Logan Fano from Utah. Fano is the brother of Browns’ No. 9 overall pick Spencer Fano. The Utah pass rusher is the first reported undrafted free agent signing for the Browns. Fano is also a player who had a draft-able grade.

Lance Zierlein had a fifth-to-sixth round grade on the Utah pass rusher, who the Browns have added as rookie No. 11.

“An edge defender with pro size and strength, Fano is capable of playing standing up or with a hand down. He plays with a blend of hurry and heart that keeps him keyed in on the action. However, urgency can become impatience, which pulls him out of position and opens him to counters/misdirection. He’s quick but lacks upfield juice to challenge the edge. His rush plan is too predictable and overly reliant on feet over hands. He’ll shine on special teams and has toughness to defend a pro run game, but Fano needs to improve as a rusher to become a three-down player.”

Fano became a starter during the 2024 season when he played in 12 games with nine starts. As a redshirt sophomore, Fano had 35 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. The former Utah standout followed it up by being a second-team All-Big 12 player with 44 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.

Cleveland passed up on adding a pass rusher in the draft as was thought they would. Fano is going to have a chance to earn a spot at the end of the rotation in a void left by Cameron Thomas. There was interest from the Browns in signing AJ Epenesa, but the deal fell through.

Signing Fano is a good start to the undrafted free agent additions and there will be a slew of them to follow.
