Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis is arguably the most underrated defender on the team.

He barely gets praise from the fanbase and recently re-signed for under $3M after tasting free agency. However, he's been a solid starter at nickel for a good while now and while he's far from a star, manning arguably the most difficult job on defense in today's league without being a liability is a big compliment.

Lewis has to be great at all the little things to make up for the lack of elite athleticism and size and that likely includes winning the mental warfare.

According to Detroit Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lewis is a fantastic trash talker. In a recent appearance on The Pivot  Podcast, St. Brown brought up Lewis when asked who is his least favorite defender to face.

"One guy that comes to mind is Jourdan Lewis, I think, is his name from the Cowboys," St. Brown said. "I don't talk much unless someone's going to talk to me. I block hard, I do all that but he was talking crazy like some shit I've never heard before.

"I'm like 'Yo, hold on, I'm going have to go hard on this (???)', he was talking crazy out of pocket even (Jameson Williams) heard it too, he was coming in, at that point it's like I don't know what he's saying, I'm trying to make plays, win the game, I'm not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that it's like if I do get a chance to to kill him I'mma kill him."

Listen, I am dying to know what kind of stuff Lewis comes up with when he's out there on the playing field (this is a man who took a hilarious jab at his own family over a videogame) but I respect St. Brown not getting into any specifics and putting a fellow NFL player on blast.

But one thing is for sure: The Lions wide receiver is arguably a Top 3 wide receiver right now and for Lewis to be the guy who popped into his mind when asked about his least favorite DB to face is a huge compliment.

By the way, Lewis offered a response through Instagram: "I am passionate about my craft and I don't want to be friends with everyone, especially a Detroit Lion not from Detroit."

Sidebar: Okay, I had to check. Per PFF, Lewis earned an 89 grade in coverage versus Amon-Ra St. Brown, which is considered an elite performance. He allowed one catch in two targets, but to be fair that grab was an 11-yard touchdown. The incompletion was a pass breakup from Lewis. I'm officially excited about a rematch between these two.

St. Brown is one of five players that will appear on Netflix's newest show, Receiver, and fans might just get to catch some soundbites from their Week 17 matchup in the later episodes.
