Broncos QB Bo Nix dropped some comments after loss to Packers that have Denver fans feeling some kind of way
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix made his preseason debut on Friday night in a loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix made his preseason debut on Friday night in a 33-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
It was Nix’s first and last action of the preseason. The next time Broncos fans see him will be on September 14 when Denver kicks off the season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
Bo Nix is feeling good, really good, after preseason action against the Packers
Friday night was Nix’s first game action since the Broncos’ overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Nix, who underwent two surgeries this offseason on his ankle (including a clean-up procedure in April), completed seven-of-nine passes for 76 yards and a touchdown, including a 35-yard pass to wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
After the game, Nix told reporters that he feels like he’s picking up where he left off last season.
In fact, he said he feels even better than he did at the end of last season.
“It just felt like exactly where I left off,” said Nix. “I think honestly, I felt better. I think that extra cleanup surgery was good for me just because it put me back to square one, and I thought that I felt pretty good — as good as I’ve felt in a long time.”
As for whether Nix will be ready for the regular season with just one preseason game under his belt?
Well, he left no doubt that he will be.
“I’ve played a lot of football,” said Nix. “I feel like I could walk into any game and be fine.”
It sounds like it’ll be game-on for Nix and the Broncos when September 14 rolls around.
