The Detroit Lions are dealing with some injuries right now, as everyone knows. The big question is, when will these guys be ready to return? On Tuesday, we got some answers from Lions head coach Dan Campbell. Here’s what we now know:

Terrion Arnold should be back after the bye

Arnold missed Sunday’s game with an injury he suffered against the Bengals. An injury that was supposed to keep him out for a “long time.” A second opinion changed all of that, and the Lions did not put him on the injured reserve list.

Campbell was asked if there was any possibility he could play against the Buccaneers on Monday, and he said that Arnold will probably be back after the bye week.

Marcus Davenport will be out for a little bit longer

Davenport’s four weeks on the IR are up, and he’s eligible to return this week, but that’s not happening, Campbell said.

“I don’t see that, not yet. He’s doing well. He’s getting better. We like where all those guys are at,” Campbell added. “I mean, we’re gonna be looking pretty good at the end of November, December, you know, which is awesome. But I don’t see him being ready before the bye, for sure.”

Just reading the tea leaves there, and that tells you that maybe the Lions’ plan with Davenport is to start his clock after the bye week and have him back in late November at best. We’ll see what happens in due time.

Lions plan to get Malcolm Rodriguez going after the bye week

Rodriguez has been out for a while now after tearing his ACL last season. It finally looks like we’re about to see his return after the bye week.

Similar to Davenport, the Lions will start Rodriguez’s 21-day clock, so a late November return makes a lot of sense. He needs to get back into the swing of things after missing so much time.
