You know we are getting late into the NFL regular season when we start seeing results coming in from the league-wide fan voting for the upcoming Pro Bowl.
With the Indianapolis Colts sitting outside the AFC playoffs with a lackluster 6-7 record, it shouldn't be a surprise that not many of their players are leading the charge at their positions via fan voting.
The NFL released the top 10 vote-getters at every position, and three Colts found themselves in the race for a spot on a 2025 Pro Bowl roster.
Quenton Nelson
Quenton Nelson has once again had a strong season and continues to prove he is one of if not the best guards in the NFL. So it's not shocking to see him appear in the top 10 for guards in fan voting for the Pro Bowl. I'm honestly shocked that his spot is so low, with him 10th in votes so far. Nelson has the name recognition that most offensive linemen sadly don't have, and his play warrants the honor. He has only allowed one sack and six QB hits through the first 13 weeks of the season.
Zaire Franklin
Through 13 weeks, Zaire Franklin leads the NFL with 135 tackles, which is ten more than second place. Franklin has had his fair share of ups and downs this season, but his ability to rack up tackles has not fallen off in the slightest. Due to him leading the NFL in this category, it looks like NFL fans are showing him respect by throwing him their votes for the NFL Pro Bowl, with him receiving the second most votes of any inside linebacker, only trailing Baltimore Ravens' Roquan Smith.
Nick Cross
In his first year as a full-time starter, Nick Cross has taken a massive step forward as a player. The Colts' struggles in the run game have led him to rack up quite the tackle total, with him trailing only Franklin in total tackles this season with 125. Cross has also made multiple plays in coverage, as he is tied for the team lead with two interceptions. And his success is being noticed by fans throughout the league, as he currently sits fourth among all strong safeties.
