It’s no secret that Chris Jones is not a fun guy to match up against for any player. And that even includes his teammates.

Following Sunday’s training camp session, Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Jaylon Moore was asked if it’s harder to go up against Jones at the guard or tackle position.

Moore couldn’t help but laugh before giving his answer.

“Chris Jones is Chris Jones, so it’s always going to be a hard time and hard task,” Moore told reporters.

Jones has always earned high praise from players and coaches across the league, having led the league in 2024 in pass rush win rate, while having received the most double teams among all other pass rushers. That right there says it all and is why it doesn’t matter what position someone is playing on the offensive line.

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo also recently spoke about Jones’ impact on and off the field.

“Chris seems to be always be the same to me,” Spagnuolo detailed. “I do watch him all the time, whether it’s in individual periods when he’s over there with Joe (defensive line coach Joe Cullen), or at the end of practice. Chris likes to refine the finer points of his game. I think he does a really good job of that. Then he’ll bring along the young guys to do the same thing. I think at this point in his career Chris realizes that details are really important, and I think he’s sharing that with these young guys, and hopefully that helps that whole group.”

Jones finished the 2024 season with 37 total tackles, five sacks, and one forced fumble, earning him his sixth straight Pro Bowl nod along with a first-team All-Pro honor. But the 2025 season is expected to be even better!
