There's been plenty of focus in recent weeks on the different paths the Kansas City Chiefs could take in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The second round, however, could be equally important for the Chiefs.

Plenty of impact players and Pro Bowlers are selected in the second round.

The Chiefs have the No. 63 overall pick in the draft later this month, which means they'll have to wait until near the end of the second round to make their second selection.

That's a long time between picks for the defending Super Bowl champions, but Pro Football Focus believes there will be a player available late in the second round that's a great fit for Kansas City.

PFF thinks the Chiefs should draft Oklahoma offensive tackle Wanya Morris with the No. 63 overall selection.

From PFF: The Chiefs have developed offensive linemen very well under Andy Reid, and there aren’t any Day 2 tackles with better developmental traits than Morris. He’s a nimble athlete with elite length for the position.

Morris is a former five-star recruit who originally played at Tennessee before transferring to Oklahoma.

The Georgia native has elite talent, but he was never able to find much consistency in college after playing for three different head coaches during his four seasons as a college football player.

Selecting Morris late in the second round could be one of the biggest steals of the draft. It wouldn't be quite as big of a steal as when the Chiefs drafted Trey Smith in the sixth round (also a former Tennessee offensive lineman), but it could still be a sneaky good addition for Kansas City.
