The Kansas City Chiefs' addition of LT Jaylon Moore in free agency has not halted their pursuits of potentially adding to the offensive tackle position in the 2025 NFL Draft.
While Moore is currently atop the depth chart at left tackle and confident in his abilities to become a full-time starter in Kansas City, that won't stop the Chiefs from adding more players. After all, the Chiefs started four players at the left tackle position just last season due to injury.
We know they met with several offensive tackle prospects at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. The pre-draft meetings they've since held make it clear that Brett Veach is leaving no stone unturned to improve the position group for the 2025 NFL season.
Here's a look at some of their latest drafts interests. . .
Most of the Chiefs' reported top 30 visits have been with offensive tackle prospects
The Chiefs use their 30 allotted pre-draft visits in various ways, but it almost always denotes some interest in a prospect. They often host players who could be priority undrafted free agent signings after the draft to convince them they should sign with Kansas City. They also host players with injury histories to meet with team trainers and doctors for examinations. In other cases, they host players with character and off-field questions to see if they'll genuinely mesh with the team culture.
Most of the Chiefs' reported visits thus far have been with offensive tackle prospects. We know all about BYU LT Caleb Etienne's visit to Kansas City. He recently participated in the Big 12 Pro Day, posting impressive numbers in the vertical (30-inch), broad jump (114-inch), and 40-yard dash (5.01s).
In addition to Etienne, we can confirm that NC State's Anthony Belton, Oregon State's Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, Kansas' Bryce Cabeldue, and Washington State's Esa Pole all have top 30 visits scheduled with Kansas City during the pre-draft process. Belton confirmed his visit to A to Z Sports at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
Belton (6-foot-6, 336 pounds) allowed three sacks and 12 total pressures in 12 starts with NC State in 2024, with eight penalties.
Christian-Lichtenhan, a Colorado transfer, is 6-foot-8, 329 pounds, with nearly 36-inch arms. He's started 31 career games at tackle across four seasons, including 12 games at left tackle for the Beavers in 2024. He allowed just three sacks and 12 total pressures in 2024, with a lone penalty to his name.
Pole played two seasons of junior college before transferring to Washington State, where he started 21 games at left tackle across two seasons. The 6-foot-5 and 323-pound athlete allowed no sacks and nine pressures and was called for just three penalties during the 2024 college football season.
Cabeldue played most of his snaps at left tackle and right tackle over the last two seasons in Lawrence. He allowed three sacks and just eight total pressures across 12 games started in 2024. At 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds with 32.5-inch arms, he projects more as an offensive guard at the next level. The Clovis, New Mexico native impressed at the Big 12 Pro Day with 30 bench press reps, a 32-inch vertical, a 114-inch broad jump, and a 4.95s 40-yard dash with a 1.71s 10-yard split.
Chiefs show interest in a pair of local prospects
Top 30 visits aren't the only interest in the offensive tackle class being shown at the moment. According to Tony Pauline, Kansas State LT Easton Kilty is expected to participate in the Chiefs' local pro day. A North Dakota state transfer, Kilty projects as an interior offensive lineman at the next level, weighing in at 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds. Kilty allowed just one sack and nine total pressures in 13 starts at left tackle in 2024.
As for a prospect with a shot to go in the top 100 picks, Minnesota's Aireontae Ersery spent time with a Kansas City Chiefs scout to wrap up his Pro Day, according to Pioneer Press reporter Andy Greder.
Among the last to leave were Gophers left tackle Aireontae Ersery and a scout with the Kansas City Chiefs. The pair took an informal seat on the field turf and rested their backs against a padded, maroon wall.
While a single meeting doesn't necessarily indicate interest, the timing of this informal chat is notable. Scouts prefer being the last meeting with a prospect at pro days because you can get more time. The 6-foot-6 and 330-pound left tackle impressed with his athleticism at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He allowed just one sack and 12 pressures in 12 games started in 2024.
Ersery, of course, grew up in the Kansas City area as a Chiefs fan and played high school football at Ruskin.
