The Kansas City Chiefs made a big decision this week by releasing defensive lineman Frank Clark.

Clark, who turns 30 later this summer, is a three-time Pro Bowler who won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs.

The former Michigan standout spent the last four seasons with Kansas City before becoming a cap casualty.

Kansas City will obviously need a replacement for Clark this offseason. Even though Clark never put up gaudy numbers with the Chiefs (his best stretch of football was probably the 2019 playoffs when he totaled five sacks), he was a reliable defender who provided steady production.

To replace Clark, CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr thinks the Chiefs should sign Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Brandon Graham in free agency.

Graham is set to be a free agent this offseason after spending the first 13 seasons of his career with the Eagles.

From CBS Sports: After allowing Frank Clark to walk, the Chiefs are going to have to get creative at finding efficient options to get to the quarterback. Why not unite Graham with the head coach that drafted him in Andy Reid? Graham is coming off a huge season at 34, having 11 sacks with 48 pressures. While Graham could return to the Eagles (he prefers to finish his career in Philadelphia), the Chiefs could use a steady presence on the edge that can get to the quarterback and help out Chris Jones and George Karlaftis.

Spotrac has Graham's market value at $5.7 million for one year. If the Chiefs can get Graham for that, they should immediately get a plane on the way to Philadelphia to pick him up (well, when they can sign him next week).

Graham turns 35 next month, so a one-year deal is certainly plausible.

The former Michigan standout, who played for Andy Reid for the first three years of his career, is coming off his best season as a pro.

Graham totaled 11 sacks this past season, a career-high for the former Pro Bowler.

Eagles sideline reporter/radio show host Howard Eskin said this week that he thinks Graham returns to Philly. I'd probably lean toward agreeing with Eskin, but you also never know what free agency could bring.

Perhaps Graham, a Detroit native, is ready for a change of scenery. If he wants to win another Super Bowl, the Chiefs would be his best bet. If Graham signed with Kansas City, he'd also be reunited with Ken Flajole, the Eagles' linebackers coach from 2016 to 2020.

We'll see what happens when free agency starts next week, but this would be a tremendous signing for the Chiefs if they can pull it off.
