We'll get a chance to officially see images of the newest members of the Kansas City Chiefs in their new uniforms when 2025 NFL Draft picks, undrafted free agents, and tryout players take the field for rookie minicamp this weekend. It's always a special moment when players get to put on the jersey, get fitted for their helmet, and more. It's another step in recognizing your dream of being drafted into the NFL.

Ohio State's football program shared a preview of what the team's top draft choice could look like in his Chiefs jersey. Kansas City selected Ohio State LT Josh Simmons at pick No. 32 overall, the final pick in Round 1 of the draft after trading down just one spot. The Buckeyes took to social media to share a jersey swap of new Simmons, rocking his No. 71 uniform, but in a different shade of red.

We don't officially know if Simmons will choose the No. 71 jersey in Kansas City yet. The team has yet to reveal rookie jersey numbers, which are probably coming later this week. No player in Kansas City wears the No. 71 jersey right now, so if Simmons wants it, he can have it. He also wore the No. 77 jersey at San Diego State, another number currently available in Kansas City, so he has some options.

Hopefully, Simmons will be ready to go in full pads and recovered from his knee injury in July when Chiefs training camp arrives in St. Joseph, Missouri. Andy Reid clarified that they won't be rushing Simmons into action during the Chiefs' rookie minicamp, but he expects him to get some work between now and training camp.
