If the Kansas City Chiefs played in the NFC, they might have a legitimate chance to go undefeated.
Okay, maybe that's a bit of a reach (though is it really?), but there's no denying that the AFC is significantly stronger than the NFC these days.
But that doesn't scare Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce. In fact, he embraces it.
"That's when that's when I want the most man," said Kelce recently when asked by NBC Sports' Peter King about staying motivated. "That's when I want to be able to come out on top is when I get everybody's best shot. It's been awesome to hear how everybody says the AFC is stacked now that we got another Hall of Fame quarterback coming through with Aaron Rodgers going to the Jets. And you know, the more the merrier."
"I want to play the best of the best at this point in my career because I know that we're a great team," added Kelce. "And with that being said, you know, rising to the occasion, find a way to win those big time games. That really gets the juices going for me."
I doubt anyone expected Kelce to say anything different — he's a competitor and he's clearly not scared of any team in the NFL.
The AFC will once again be must-watch television in 2023 with quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Kenny Pickett, and Russell Wilson going at it weekly.
