Klint Kubiak and the Raiders have not been afraid to move one rookie all over the place while at OTAs
The Las Vegas Raiders drafted versatile guys, and they have certainly made the most of them.
The Las Vegas Raiders selected several versatile players in the 2026 NFL Draft, favoring prospects able to help the team win in multiple ways. This approach began with Treydan Stukes in the second round and continued in the third with Trey Zuhn.
Stukes played the F-Kat position at Arizona, a hybrid between the slot and free safety. He’s also played some outside cornerback and some strong safety. Zuhn has played every position on the offensive line imaginable. He’s mainly played left tackle but had to play on the interior line this past season. Zuhn was drafted by the Raiders as an interior player; however, he could play more than just guard or center.
The idea when he was drafted was that he would be part of that very large battle on the interior at the guard position. But at OTAs, he’s been starting at right tackle. He’s played a bit of left guard, too. That was the first week, though. During the second week of OTAs, he moved around even more, this time playing some right guard.
Now, that doesn’t mean he will start there this season, but it’s clear the Raiders are trying to see Zuhn at every possible position. And that’s been the plan all along.
Klint Kubiak revealed why the Raiders drafted Trey Zuhn
“Yeah, really drafted Trey [Zuhn III] to be able to play a lot of positions, so whether it’s tackle, guard, center, he’s learning it all. He’s got everything between the ears to do that, and so we’re going to give him a chance to help us in all areas of the line,” Klint Kubiak told reporters after OTA practice on Wednesday.
They have so many guys at guard who can start, like Jordan Meredith, Caleb Rogers, Spencer Burford, and Jackson Powers-Johnson. Zuhn, who you could also throw into that, could just be their backup tackle. Or, he could be the immediate backup to anyone because he’s so versatile.
At this point, there’s still so much mystery surrounding those offensive line positions. However, it’s certainly something to keep an eye on throughout the offseason.
