When Pete Carroll is running things, it's bound to be a bit different than what we have seen before. During rookie minicamp, we kind of got our first glance at what a Carroll-ran training camp could look like.

Of course, we have seen what he's done with the Seattle Seahawks back when he was running those training camps. And, whatever he was doing was successful, because they didn't have many losing seasons, just three, and two were his first two seasons. Carroll won a Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos and made another one where he lost to the dynasty in the New England Patriots.

So, he knows how to run things, especially practice, minicamps, and training camps. And, we are already seeing some of the rookies decipher the difference between when they were in college and now in the NFL. One thing is clear with Pete Carroll and his practices — you'd better be in shape.

"You've got to be conditioned," rookie WR Jack Bech said. "You've got to run, especially being a receiver, you have to be able to run all day. And I think, obviously, conditioning on your own and football conditioning, it's a little different.

"But as you practice more and more, the better you get in football condition. So like I said, I'm just excited to keep coming out here and keep learning under one of the greatest coaches ever, and keep sharpening not only my physical skill set, but my mental skill set too."

It's not even training camp yet, either, and Carroll has guys knowing that they better come in shape when training camp does start. Luckily, this group seems like the type that won't spend their entire offseason doing things that are going to get them unprepared for camp.

Minicamp is a great way to get the rookies to know what's going to happen before the real thing actually gets here. And, it's safe to say that Bech had to learn the hard way that he's got to come conditioned.
