The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the most special players in the league in, Davante Adams. He may not be having the season he would maybe like in terms of his stats, but he is still amazing nonetheless. And his skills and talent haven't fallen off at all; he is just on a really bad offense.

But, on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, in a game that is a must-win, the Raiders made it an emphasis to get Adams the ball early. They have struggled with that at times this year. Even last year, they had to focus on the running game because the air game just wasn't working, which made Adams finish the win over Kansas City with just one catch for four yards.

But, after a few big moments on Sunday against the Colts, he had already made history just minutes into the game – because that's what Adams does. The Raiders' PR team on Twitter tweeted out how Adams made history just a few minutes in.

With the first catch of the game, WR Davante Adams has now recorded at least one reception in 130 consecutive games, the fourth-longest active streak in the NFL. With a 24-yard grab on third down, WR Davante Adams now has 140 receptions of 20+ yards since entering the league in 2024, tied for the 7th most in the NFL over that span. Davante Adams has now surpassed 1,000 receiving yards on the season, his 4th consecutive season with 1,000+ receiving yards, tied for the 2nd longest active streak in the NFL. He is 1 of 4 players in the NFL to record 1,000+ receiving yards in each of the last four seasons (2020-23).

The Raiders offense has been awful this year, with the exception of really just two good games in the Chargers and Giants. So, Adams has had the right to be frustrated, whether it be him not getting the ball enough or something else. But you see that when the Raiders go to him early, the offense often has some type of rhythm.

Now they just need to keep that up, as they are down 7-3 at the end of the first quarter against the Indianapolis Colts.
