Anyone who watched the heavyweight bout between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night heard Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady basically tell everyone who his new head coach is.

Klint Kubiak, the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, is a prime candidate for the Raiders’ head coaching position. He, Denver Broncos passing game coordinator Davis Webb, former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, and Buffalo Bills OC Joe Brady seem to be the guys LV wants the most. But if you asked Brady, it feels like the obvious answer is that he wants Kubiak.

“I love this opening script from Klint Kubiak,” Brady said on FOX during the NFC Championship Game Sunday night.

Brady name-dropped Kubiak about six or seven times in the first half alone. In a way, he was inadvertently telling everyone who his pick for the next Raiders head coach would be. However, there’s an issue with this.

Is Kubiak as interested in the Raiders as they are in him?

There are four head coach openings left. The Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and the Raiders are the four teams Kubiak can choose from if the interest is there. If the Bills or Cardinals come calling, is there a chance Kubiak prefers those opportunities to the Raiders?

With the Bills, you have Josh Allen, a top-three quarterback in the league, along with a new stadium coming, and a roster that’s already ready to win right away. The Cardinals have a quarterback in place in Kyler Murray, well, maybe — a top pick in the draft, and some good cap space to work with.

The Raiders really only have the No. 1 pick to offer, along with cap space and great facilities. You also have to live in fear that you will be fired the very next season, considering that’s what they’ve done the last five years or so. The Seahawks are heading to the Super Bowl to play the New England Patriots. Now, Las Vegas will have to wait even further to get Kubiak if it really wants him.
