The Los Angeles Rams are successfully back on the horse. Pun intended. After collapsing late in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles and giving away a win, the Rams were able to successfully bounce back with a 27-20 victory over the previously undefeated Indianapolis Colts.

This match got a little extra spice ahead of time when Colts safety Cam Bynum went on his teammate Josh Downs’ podcast and accused the Rams of pumping artificial crowd noise through the speakers to cover for their fans’ lack of rowdiness.

And with a win in the back, one Rams defender simply couldn’t help himself. Quentin Lake made sure the Rams got the last laugh.

Rams defender Quentin Lake offers the perfect clap-back after Rams were accused of pumping crowd noise by Colts’ Cam Bynum

It was a rough day for Bynum and the Colts’ secondary as Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford exploded for 375 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, including an 88-yard score to TuTu Atwell that ultimately decided the game in the final two minutes. Shortly thereafter, Colts quarterback Daniel Jones threw his second interception to seal Indianapolis’ first loss.

Both these teams look like they’re going to be a problem in their respective conferences throughout the course of 2025. And given their conference proximity to one another, this doesn’t appear to be a likely rivalry that grows in the years to come — they’ll be lucky to play one another any time soon. So this exchange of trash talking can serve as a fun subplot to the first month of the season before both squads shift their eyes on to bigger and better things. Unless, of course, someone else on the Rams’ schedule follow’s Bynum’s lead ahead of a game. In which case, you already know Lake will have something ready in the drafts.
