The NFL Draft is coming up for the Minnesota Vikings and they are a fascinating team to keep an eye on when it comes to April's annual selection meeting.

Free agency went very well for the Vikings over the first two weeks. The offensive and defensive lines are in significantly better shape after adding two starters to each unit. That makes it so the Vikings can be a little more fluid with what positions and prospects they select.

In essence: they don't have to force anything.

Vikings top 30 NFL Draft Visits tracker

The Vikings used to have a day where all of the top 30 visits would come in, but that has changed somewhat under Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. They have a really good track record of top-30 visits mattering. This year, the Vikings will have their visits focused on April 7th and 8th, according to SKOR North's Darren Wolfson.

Over the course of his first three drafts (22 selections), the Vikings have drafted five players who have taken a top-30 visit with the Vikings.

  • DT Esezi Otomewo-2022
  • WR Jordan Addison-2023
  • CB Mekhi Blackmon-2023
  • RB DeWayne McBride-2023
  • EDGE Dallas Turner-2024

Along with that, the Vikings have also selected multiple players who have had teammates take a top-30 visit to Minnesota.

  • 2022: Illinois OT Vederian Lowe (S Kerby Joseph)
  • 2023: LSU S Jay Ward and DT Jaquelin Roy (OL Anthony Bradford, CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse)
  • 2024: Alabama K Will Reichard (EDGE Dallas Turner, CB Terrion Arnold), Oregon CB Khyree Jackson (DT Taki Taimani)

Lastly, the UDFAs the Vikings have brought in have been with the Vikings as well

  • 2022: CB Kalon Barnes, EDGE Zach McCloud
  • 2023: OL Henry Byrd, OL Colby Sorsdol, DT Calvin Avery
  • 2024: DT Taki Taimani, EDGE Gabe Murphy, OL Spencer Rolland

Top 30 visits don't guarantee that the Vikings will end up taking a player, but how they go about their visits can send major signals about how the Vikings will approach their player acquisitions during NFL Draft weekend.
