It’s not official yet, but Bobby Skinner from the “Giants Nation Show” has had access to the entire 2026 New York Giants’ schedule hours ahead of the actual release from the NFL, expected to Thursday night. The big takeaway from it: The league expects head coach John Harbaugh to elevate the Giants in his first season in New York.

Four primetime games

The New York Giants are expected to have four primetime games this upcoming season, including the first two of the year. The initial games for New York will be against the Dallas Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 1 and at the Los Angeles Rams on “Monday Night Football” in Week 2.

The other primetime games are in Week 10, against the Washington Commanders on “Thursday Night Football,” and another Monday night game at the Detroit Lions in Week 16 — the final non-divisional game of the season.

The Giants can’t complain about their bye week either. It’s going to be a Week 8 bye, exactly in the middle of the regular season.

Divisional games

The Giants will face the Dallas Cowboys in Weeks 1 and 17, the Washington Commanders in Weeks 5 and 10, and then the Philadelphia Eagles in Weeks 9 and 18 to close out the regular season.

The most difficult stretch is probably late in the season, in December. Outside of that Cleveland Browns game, which tends to be manageable, the Giants play the San Francisco 49ers, the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks, and the Detroit Lions in a four-week span. It’s a sequence with major implications in the NFC picture.

It’s an exciting day for Giants fans, and the NFL are obviously buying the John Harbaugh era. Now, though, Harbaugh and the roster have to prove the league right to keep those big games as exciting as they look in May.
