New head coach Aaron Glenn injected some much-needed energy into the New York Jets franchise this offseason. So far during the 2025 season, however, things have been a struggle. This is a roster that needs a massive overhaul, and the talent just must improve.

The 2026 NFL Draft is going to be a huge opportunity for this team to upgrade its talent pool. In a recent 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft, that was the goal for the Jets. That included finding their franchise quarterback and giving the defense a full makeover. It would be a great start to finally get this franchise heading in the right direction.

Round 1, Pick 2: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

Once considered a five-star recruit signing with the UCLA Bruins back in the 2023 class, Moore took a brief detour until becoming the starting quarterback for the Oregon Ducks this season. He is a very natural thrower of the football, and the game is really starting to slow down. There is a lot to love with what Moore brings to the game.

Round 2, Pick 33: Kamari Ramsey, S, USC

There isn’t a more underrated secondary player in the 2026 class than Ramsey. He is a physical defender who plays with bad intent working downhill. Ramsey is also a very underrated athlete who has impressive diagnostic skills. He should become a good all-around player on the next level.

Round 4, Pick 102: Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State

From a pure athleticism perspective, Igbinosun has everything you could want. He’s fast, explosive, and long, which fits great on the outside. If he is able to cut down on the holding penalties, then Igbinosun has starter upside. Being consistent will be the name of the game for him.

Round 6, Pick 180: Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

While Rueben Bain is getting most of the attention right now, Mesidor has also been very good for Miami so far this season. He is a powerful rusher who wins off converting speed to power and playing with great effort. There are some limitations to him athletically, which is why Mesidor projects more as a depth player in a room.

Round 6, Pick 191: Trey Zuhn III, OT, Texas A&M

Zuhn starts at left tackle for Texas A&M, but he will most likely shift inside on the next level. Even if he doesn’t play tackle on a full-time basis, his technical prowess and experience should allow him to back up several spots up front. Having valuable swing players is incredibly important, and it feels like Zuhn fills that role perfectly.

Round 7, Pick 214: Derrick Moore, EDGE, Michigan

While there is nothing flashy about Moore as a player, he is an extremely powerful pass rusher who plays with incredible effort. The lack of bend could limit Moore from being a high-volume pass rusher on the next level. The baseline he brings, however, could allow him to earn a roster spot for the foreseeable future.

Round 7, Pick 249: Bear Alexander, DT, Oregon

Alexander has had such an odd college career, going from Georgia to USC, and now Oregon. The talent has always been there, but there are several key questions that Alexander needs to answer, both on and off the field. At this point in the draft, taking a gamble on the talent of Alexander is a solid investment.

Round 7, Pick 257: Adam Randall, RB, Clemson

After playing wide receiver the entirety of his Clemson career, Randall was moved to wide receiver prior to this season. At 6-2 and 230 pounds, he is taking advantage of his opportunities on a poor Clemson team. Randall has rushed for 368 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, while also hauling in 17 receptions for 154 yards and three more scores.
