The offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles won’t look much different in 2026 from a personnel standpoint. That being said, Jeff Stoutland’s departure this offseason has plenty of people concerned about the unit after some injuries and struggles last season.

While some have discussed ways Stoutland could stay involved in Philly, that may not be the reality of the situation for 2026. OC Sean Mannion, under head coach Nick Sirianni, have a new ship to run on offense.

Jeff Stoutland probably won’t be with Eagles in 2026

According to Zach Berman, there is an expectation that Stoutland won’t be with the Eagles in 2026. Amid some social media rumors that he could stay in the fold in a different role, that simply does not sound like it will happen for the upcoming season.

“I’m not expecting Jeff Stoutland to be around the organization this year. Lurie was effusive in praise of Stoutland, calling him “family,” but he also acknowledged that this is the staff of Sirianni and Mannion. The Eagles shifted to a different scheme with a change in run concepts, and they wanted their own run game coordinator to implement that scheme. As I’ve written, I think the Eagles will miss Stoutland as offensive line coach — he’s the best position coach I’ve covered — but they drew the distinction between the offensive line coach and the run game coordinator and are shifting in a different direction.” — Zach Berman, The Athletic

Berman’s point of view confirms a takeaway from a recent podcast clip of Stoutland himself, discussing his future. Stoutland isn’t sure of his next steps and is seemingly not in a rush to return to coaching.

Eagles star OT Lane Johnson had previously mentioned that Stoutland “wouldn’t be far away” this season, seemingly keeping the door open for a return. That premise was a bit shut down by Stoutland here, though. Reports back up the update from the long-time OL guru, too.

For Philly, their plan in the 2026 NFL Draft when it comes to offensive lineman will be intriguing.

We may be watching the last of Johnson in his pro career during next season, so could they take his long-term replacement early? It is possible. Meanwhile, the Birds could also use more depth along their interior of the OL as well.
