Steelers 7-Round 2026 NFL Draft: Pittsburgh trades up for elite wide receiver before selecting versatile defender on day two
Here is our final 7-round mock draft ahead of Thursday’s 2026 NFL Draft, including a big trade in round one, a versatile defender in round two, and some key additions along the offensive line.
t’s hard to believe, but NFL Draft week is finally here, and in a matter of days, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be overwhelmed by up to a million extra fans.
To prepare for the spectacle, we have done weekly mock drafts since the season ended at A to Z Sports Pittsburgh. Today, I present the final edition for the 2026 cycle, and I may have saved the best for last.
Round 1, pick 13: Makai Lemon, WR, USC
Trade details: Steelers send pick 21, 85, for 13 from the Los Angeles Rams
Look no further than what happened with the Bengals over the weekend as evidence that, after the top eight to nine selections, teams don’t feel the best about this class. For the Rams, they used their first-round pick to trade for Trent McDuffie, and now they could look to move back, while the Steelers use two of their 12 picks to move up and take the best slot WR in the class.
Lemon would be the perfect addition to a WR corps that is set on the perimeter. His natural separation skills and competitiveness at the catch point make him an ideal fit in Pittsburgh.
Round 2, pick 53: Treydan Stukes, DB, Arizona
Few players in the defensive backfield are as versatile as Stukes in this class. He shows high-quality reps at nickel, playing in the post, getting off the hash, and inserting against the run. I would love to see Pat Graham get his hands on a player with that kind of skillset.
Round 3, pick 76: Gennings Dunker, OT, Iowa
With so much uncertainty at the offensive tackle position in Pittsburgh, the Steelers will have to address the position. It’s a matter of when, not if, Pittsburgh uses capital at the position. Dunker might be known for his hair, but he’s a damn good player who can be a tackle or guard at the next level.
Round 3, pick 99: Jake Slaughter, IOL, Florida
Doubling down on the offensive line, the Steelers go from their potential LT of the future to their potential left guard of the future with Slaughter. He was a standout at the Senior Bowl, and despite the signing of Brock Hoffman, the Steelers probably don’t have their left guard for the long haul on the roster.
