The Pittsburgh Steelers started out Sunday on a high note against the Green Bay Packers.

Going for back-to-back rushing TDs on their first two possessions, it looked as if Pittsburgh had finally found their groove on offense.

But then the rest of the game happened, with Pittsburgh struggling to generate offense for the rest of the game yet managing to pull out the win.

In doing so, they just made NFL history:

First Team Ever

That's right, despite having their best game on the ground all season, and by a wide margin, (207 total rushing yards) the Green Bay Packers still allocated more offensive yardage, yet Pittsburgh won the game.

This makes them the first and only team in NFL history to be outgained in every game through their first nine contests, yet still have a winning record, with Pittsburgh doubling their wins to losses via a 6-3 record.

How you ask?

Turnovers.

Pittsburgh was able to pick off Packers QB Jordan Love twice down the stretch while managing to hold onto the ball themselves.

So is it pretty? No. Sustaianble? Unlikely. But there is no such thing as an ugly win in the NFL, and to quote Coach Tomlin:

"We won't apologize for winning."
