Football is family and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star left tackle Tristan Wirfs, along with the defense, immediately proved that to Rueben Bain Jr. (and his own family) after the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Buccaneers’ social media account released pictures of a brunch celebration involving all the aforementioned parties. It looked like a wholesome event that was not just a celebration, but a great way to break the ice between Bain Jr., Wirfs, and his new defensive teammates:

Buccaneers quickly introduce Rueben Bain Jr. to their culture, which is one of the NFL’s best

The Buccaneers have developed one of the NFL’s best cultures since Bruce Arians came to town in 2019 and Rueben Bain Jr. got a close-up after he was drafted.

It’s not just the fact these guys were all available to get together on short notice like this – it’s the fact they wanted to do this. That screams brotherhood to a tee and it has to pump Bain Jr. up even more knowing this many people had he and his family’s back. Even in this small of a regard.

Bain Jr. should fit right into the Buccaneers’ locker room. He’s a fiery, competitive player who also knows how to lead and not go overboard. There’s a big difference between being fiery and competitive compared to out of control. Bain Jr. is certainly the former and not the latter in that regard.

It’s a great first step and it puts Bain Jr. and the Buccaneers defense in a spot where they can get things started on the right foot (pun totally intended). It’ll be even more exciting to see how things are going when the Bucs start rookie minicamp on May 8.
