Tennessee Titans are doing something unprecedented by bringing local flavor and LED technology to new Nissan Stadium in 2027
Titans to add ‘Ring of Fire’ to new Nissan Stadium.
NASHVILLE – You've heard of the famous Titans "Ring of Honor," but it's time to get ready for the Titans new "Ring of Fire."
Music City, which is home to the Johnny Cash Museum among other iconic music venues, is soon to be the home of new Nissan Stadium in 2027.
One of the highlights of the project is a first-of-its-kind "Ring of Fire" display, which will be encircling the entire upper bowl of the new stadium. The "Ring of Fire" will be 13-foot-high, 2,275-foot-wide LED display that totals more than 77,000 square feet. That is the longest single display in the entire NFL.
The Titans have selected Daktronics as their official large display partner. They will be in charge of installing over 37 LED displays that are needed to make up the ring. This project alone puts the new Nissan Stadium in the Top 3 among NFL stadiums for total square footage of LED.

According to Daktronics and Sports Business Journal, it would take 2,769 60-inch televisions to match the size of the "Ring of Fire." It would also take 683 guitars laid end-to-end to circle it's length, which runs the perimeter of the stadium. In total, 128,000,000 LEDs are going to be used – which is roughly 18x the population of Tennessee.
Once the stadium is completed, it's going to be hard to find another NFL stadium that compares to what the Titans will have in Nashville. A modernized, luxurious, intimate venue in the heart of Music City is going to be one of the most enjoyable fan experiences in all of professional sports.
Bringing the Super Bowl, Final Four, College Football Playoff, and big name concerts to the stadium is a no-brainer.
I love the Titans adding some local Tennessee flare to the new stadium and can appreciate the effort of trying to make it unique to Nashville. I just hope the glamorous updates to the new stadium don't price out a loyal faction of the Titans' fanbase.
