Brandon Aiyuk is a ticking time bomb and continues to give the Commanders every reason to avoid adding him to the roster

Brandon Aiyuk recently posted a video of himself on Instagram, essentially berating the 49ers. The dude has become completely toxic and should be avoided by the Commanders, along with the rest of the NFL.

Brandon Aiyuk continues to shoot himself in the foot via social media and at this point, there’s no reason the Washington Commanders should add him to the roster.

This was discussed, last week, after a warrant was issued for Brandon Aiyuk’s arrest. He filmed himself reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone right outside Levi’s Stadium. He later uploaded it to YouTube, which is how authorities discovered the incident.

The very next day he posted a video of himself, on Instagram, at a racetrack. It was totally tone-deaf and showed very poor self-awareness (as did the speeding video).

Well, it took Aiyuk less than a week to once again cause a stir on social media after posting his latest video on Sunday. In it, Aiyuk tells the 49ers to “stop running from the belt” and likens to the franchise as “little a** boys”, a “female dog”, and a “little cat”.

“Little ass boys, man, stop running from the belt,” Aiyuk said during the 90-second post. “The belt’s coming, you scared, they scared… They gonna say, ‘Oh yeah, BA did this, BA did that, BA, did you know that?’ Allegedly, allegedly but what they’re not gonna say is BA sucks at football, because they know how I get, and they’re running from that belt that’s on the way.

“It’s inevitable. It’s coming. Stop running, stop being a female dog. Stop being a little cat.”

Brandon Aiyuk will be a liability for whatever team he plays for

At this point, Aiyuk is nearly as toxic as it gets and will be a headache for any team.

I mean, think about it. He’s already going to have to rework his contract if someone dares trade for him, which is unrealistic, at this point. So, once he’s released, no one is going to want to sign him to a big-money deal.

That will immediately create friction with Aiyuk, who stands to make $27 million in cash, this year. Add his decision-making, judgement, and character into the fold and it’s easy to see how it could create a slippery slope that ends in a similar fashion to what we’re seeing, now.

And honestly, who wants this guy on their team, long-term, right now? Aiyuk’s next deal will likely be a one-year contract with incentives attached.

In that case, what happens if his new team struggles on offense, for whatever reason, and keeps him from hitting his incentives? Who knows how that’d get handled both internally and externally. But the odds say Aiyuk will find some way to stir up trouble in this hypothetical.

There are just way too many cons, at this point. Frankly, there aren’t any pros, either, because we don’t even know if Aiyuk can still play football at a high level. It’s been over a year-and-a-half since he took his last snap.

Just move on, Adam Peters. This is a total clown show, at this point, and the Commanders are honestly better off rocking with their current receiver room than taking on the major gamble that is Aiyuk.
