Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders have had an excellent 2024 season, but they were still searching for their first signature win heading into Week 16's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Well, they got just that on Sunday. Daniels and co. overcame a very bad start and five turnovers to come back and beat the Eagles, 36-33, in the waning seconds of the game, marking what is easily their biggest win of the year.

The Eagles would've wrapped up the NFC East with a win, but the race remains open after their loss. And, things are even more interesting when factoring in Jalen Hurts' concussion. The Eagles' remaining schedule is very easy, but nothing is guaranteed without Hurts in the picture, as we saw today.

The Eagles' final two games are against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, while the Commanders play the Atlanta Falcons and Cowboys, themselves.

The key here is simple: If the Commanders win out and the Eagles lose out, then Washington will win the division record tiebreaker. It falls to that tiebreaker since the series is now split at 1-1. In this hypothetical, Daniels and co. would finish with a 12-5 record and a 4-2 record in the NFCE, whereas Philly would finish with a 12-5 record, but at 3-3 in the division.

That's all it takes and it can certainly happen. We'll see if it does, but man, that would be an incredible finish to what is already an incredible first year for Dan Quinn and the Commanders.
