The Washington Commanders are getting work done off the field, but players are staying busy hitting the weight room, improving their skills, and for some, playing football.

Franchise QB Jayden Daniels has the unique opportunity to compete in the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football Classic as he was handpicked with the goat himself, Tom Brady. Daniels will be able to get some throws in this offseason with some legendary names around the NFL, but also well-known celebrities.

The game will be a flag football game in Daniels’ home state of California at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 21st, on FOX, so fans will be able to watch Daniels for the first time in a while.

Daniels hasn’t played on a football field since his season was shut down after reinjuring his elbow on a fall against the Minnesota Vikings. Now, he gets the chance to knock off some rust on TV while teaming up with a stacked team. There are three teams led by Brady, Daniels, and the U.S. Men’s National Flag Football team.

Daniels will be the QB and co-captain for the Wildcat team with Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow. He’s also teaming up with current and past NFL players, as well as celebrities such as Logan Paul and iShowSpeed. On the NFL side, Daniels will have Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Odell Beckham Jr., Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James Jr, Luke Kuechly, and Kyle Juszczyk.

This is a great opportunity for Daniels to continue building his brand and relationship with Brady as a young face of the NFL. This is also a test for NFL players to show what they can do against the U.S. Men’s National Flag Football team.

Flag football will be introduced at the 2028 Summer Olympics, and possibly open the door for other NFL players to want in on a chance to win a gold medal. Daniels would be the perfect QB for an Olympic flag football team, and Saturday could be his tryout.
