The Philadelphia Eagles were making moves for more than one New York Giants star when NFL free agency kicked off today.

The Eagles were able to land Giants running back Saquon Barkley to a three-year deal worth up to $46.75 million with $26 million guaranteed.

However, they missed out on his fellow teammate and one of their "top targets" in free agent safety Xavier McKinney.

McKinney ended up signing a four-year, $68 million contract with the Green Bay Packers instead.

McKinney logged 116 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions in 2023.

It's a bummer the Eagles couldn't get him, but there are a handful of other free agent safeties that are still out on the open market.
