Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders appeared to address whether his program has interest in former Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
Iamaleava is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal this upcoming week when the spring window opens.
Vols head coach Josh Heupel confirmed on Saturday that Tennessee and Iamaleava are parting ways, just days after a report emerged from On3 that Iamaleava was in NIL contract negotiations with UT.
Iamaleava was a no-show at Tennessee's practice on Friday, a move that came as a surprise to UT's coaching staff.
A parody account on Twitter/X.com tweeted that Iamaleava has been in contact with Colorado, Ohio State, and Oregon (to be clear, the tweet, from the account @RGW_News, is not a report or a factual tweet).

Sanders responded to the tweet, writing "Not true" and "God bless we good".
True freshman Julian Lewis, a four-star quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class, and former Tennessee quarterback Kaidon Salter (who previously played at Liberty) are battling for the starting quarterback job at Colorado. It appears Sanders is happy with those two options and won't be pursuing Iamaleava in the transfer portal.
