The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, with only a few weeks left until the action gets underway. The Michigan Wolverines are expected to be well-represented with three first-round picks. But where the Wolverines' defensive building blocks land is a hot topic.

Some think defensive tackle Mason Graham is a top-five lock, with Jacksonville looking like the perfect landing spot. Kenneth Grant and Will Johnson are also often featured higher than not, with the latter looking like a top-15 value and Grant ranging all over the place.

A new 2025 NFL mock draft from The 33rd Team revealed a new possibility with Graham in particular. They had Graham landing sixth overall, but not to the Las Vegas Raiders. Instead, the San Francisco 49ers moved up in a trade.

If Graham doesn't go fifth, it'd be easy to imagine the Raiders, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints being interested in him. Thus, a trade-up would almost be necessary for the 49ers.

Here's the analysis provided for the trade and pick.

"San Francisco has more needs than what we're used to seeing with this regime, but it still has more picks (11) than what they can use.

Moving some of that capital to land one of the few elite players at a position of critical need is worthwhile. Mason Graham is incredibly disruptive and might be the safest prospect in the class."

The mock draft had Grant going 13th to Miami and Johnson ninth to New Orleans. Colston Loveland fell to 26th to the Los Angeles Rams.
