The Kansas City Chiefs have completed Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft, adding Tennessee DT Omarr Norman-Lott, Louisville DE Ashton Gillotte, and Cal CB Nohl Williams.
Many talented prospects remain available on both sides of the ball at several position groups as Round 4 begins on Saturday. The team is set to make five picks on Day 3:
- Round 4 No. 133 overall
- Round 5 No. 164 overall (via Philadelphia Eagles by way of Detroit Lions)
- Round 7 No. 226 overall (via Carolina Panthers):
- Round 7 No. 251 overall (Compensatory)
- Round 7 No. 257 overall (Compensatory)
Here are the best available players remaining at each position for the Chiefs:
Quarterback
- Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders
- Texas QB Quinn Ewers
- Syracuse QB Kyle McCord
- Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard
- Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke
- Minnesota QB Max Brosmer
- Missouri QB Brady Cook
- Memphis QB Seth Henigan
- Florida QB Graham Mertz
- NDSU QB Cam Miller
- Montana State QB Tommy Mellott
- Laurier QB Taylor Elgersma
The Chiefs have four quarterbacks rostered, so this would be a luxury pick. That said, NFL teams essentially view every Day 3 pick as a luxury pick. This is a time to trust your evaluations and get your guys.
Running back
- Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson
- Virginia Tech RB Bhaysul Tuten
- Georgia RB Trevor Etienne
- Miami RB Damien Martinez
- Kansas State RB DJ Giddens
- Kansas RB Devin Neal
- Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo
- Auburn RB Jarquez Hunter
- Texas RB Jaydon Blue
- Syracuse RB LeQuint Allen
- Arizona RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt
- Texas Tech RB Tahj Brooks
- USC RB Woody Marks
- Rutgers RB Kyle Monangai
- Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon II
- Oregon RB Jordan James
- South Carolina RB Raheim Sanders
- Central Arkansas RB Shunderrick Powell
- Michigan RB Kalel Mullings
- Delaware RB Marcus Yarns
- Michigan RB Donovan Edwards
- Cincinnati RB Corey Kiner
- Clemson RB Phil Mafah
- Utah RB Micah Bernard
- Mizzou RB Nate Noel
The Chiefs need to get more explosive at the running back position, and Brett Veach believes the class to be among the deepest in the 2025 NFL Draft. He also believes that there's not great disparity between the players available in Round 3 and Round 4. It's a safe bet that one of these players lands in Kansas City on Day 3.
Wide receiver
- Utah State WR Jalen Royals
- Stanford WR Elic Ayomanor
- Colorado State WR Tory Horton
- Florida WR Chimere Dike
- Tennessee WR Bru McCoy
- Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor
- UNLV WR Ricky White III
- Virginia Tech WR Jaylin Lane
- Oregon WR Tez Johnson
- Miami WR Xavier Restrepo
- Tennessee WR Dont'e Thornton Jr.
- Miami WR Sam Brown Jr.
- Auburn WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith
- UCF WR Kobe Hudson
- Georgia WR Dominic Lovett
- Florida WR Elijhah Badger
- Colorado WR Will Sheppard
- Louisville WR Ja'Corey Brooks
- San Jose State WR Nick Nash
- Pitt WR Konata Mumpfield
- Colorado WR Jimmy Horn Jr.
- Ole Miss WR Jordan Watkins
- Minnesota WR Daniel Jackson
- Virginia Tech WR Da'Quan Felton
- Georgia WR Arian Smith
- Missouri WR Theo Wease Jr.
- Memphis WR Roc Taylor
- Colorado WR LaJohntay Wester
- Arkansas WR Andrew Armstrong
In the past three draft classes, the Chiefs selected a wide receiver on Day 1 or Day 2 (Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy). After passing on the position on Day 1 and Day 2, they could pivot to add a Day 3 pass-catching weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
Tight end
- Georgia TE Benjamin Yurosek
- Nebraska TE Thomas Fidone II
- Georgia Tech TE Jackson Hawes
- Texas Tech TE Jalin Conyers
- Iowa TE Luke Lachey
- Alabama TE CJ Dippre
- Syracuse TE Oronde Gadsden II
- South Carolina TE Joshua Simon
- Clemson TE Jake Briningstool
- UCLA TE Moliki Matavao
- Pitt TE Gavin Bartholomew
- Alabama TE Robbie Ouzts
- North Carolina TE Bryson Nesbitt
- Ole Miss TE Caden Prieskorn
Tight end isn't a big short-term need for Kansas City, but it's absolutely a long-term need with Travis Kelce in the final year of his contract. The Day 3 talent has some intriguing names for the Chiefs to consider.
Offensive tackle
- Kansas OT Logan Brown
- Rutgers OT Hollin Pierce
- Alabama A&M OT Carson Vinson
- Iowa OT Mason Richman
- Washington State OT Esa Pole
- BYU OT Caleb Etienne
- Oregon State OT Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan
- Florida OT Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
- Michigan OT Myles Hinton
- Oklahoma State OT Dalton Cooper
- Kansas State OT Easton Kilty
- Cincinnati OT John Williams
The Chiefs still need to address future needs at tackle despite the addition of LT Jaylon Moore in free agency and Ohio State LT Josh Simmons in Round 1. I'd wager they're probably done at the position until later in the draft when they can take a flier on a project.
Interior offensive line
- Miami G Jalen Rivers
- Purdue G Marcus Mbow
- LSU G Miles Frazier
- Boston College OL Drew Kendall
- UNC OL Willie Lampkin
- Jacksonville State OL Clay Webb
- Middlebury OL Thomas Perry
- Texas OL Hayden Conner
- Kansas OL Bryce Cabeldue
- NDSU OL Mason Miller
- Arkansas State OL Jacob Bayer
- Iowa OL Connor Colby
- Indiana OL Trey Wedig
The interior offensive line is lower on the list of needs for Kansas City, but the competition between Mike Caliendo and Kingsley Suamataia at left guard doesn't inspire much confidence. It might be worthwhile if you could raise the floor on that competition with an addition in the draft.
Defensive end
- South Carolina DE Kyle Kennard
- Ohio State DE Jack Sawyer
- SMU DE Elijah Roberts
- Texas DE Barryn Sorrell
- Central Arkansas DE David Walker
- Ole Miss DE Jared Ivey
- Boise State DE Ahmed Hassanein
- Miami DE Tyler Baron
- Alabama DE Que Robinson
- Virginia Tech DE Antwaun Powell-Ryland
- Minnesota DE Jah Joyner
- Syracuse DE Fadil Diggs
- UNC DE Kaimon Rucker
- BYU DE Tyler Batty
- Colorado DE B.J. Green II
- Notre Dame DE R.J. Oben
- Oklahoma DE Ethan Downs
- USC DE Jamil Muhammad
- Cal Poly DE Elijah Ponder
- Baylor DE Steve Linton
Brett Veach considers this D-End class among the deepest position groups in this class. They already took Louisville's Ashton Gillotte atop Round 3, and the edge room looks rather crowded. I'd be surprised to see another draft addition here.
Defensive tackle
- FSU DT Joshua Farmer
- Nebraska DT Ty Robinson
- Ole Miss DT J.J. Pegues
- Ohio State DT Ty Hamilton
- Florida DT Cam Jackson
- Notre Dame DT Rylie Mills
- Boston College DT Cam Horsley
- UCLA DT Jay Toia
- Alabama DT Tim Smith
- Iowa DT Yahya Black
- Georgia DT Nazir Stackhouse
- Georgia DT Warren Brinson
- Tulane DT Adin Huntington
- Utah DT Junior Tafuna
- SMU DT Jared Harrison-Hunte
- Notre Dame DT Howard Cross III
- Georgia Tech DT Zeek Biggers
- Auburn DT Philip Blidi
- Clemson DT Payton Page
- Rutgers DT Kyonte Hamilton
- Penn State DT Coziah Izzard
The Chiefs took Omarr Norman-Lott in Round 2, but they could be looking for a run-stuffer as we get deeper into the draft.
Linebacker
- Oklahoma LB Danny Stutsman
- Ole Mis LB Chris Paul
- Ohio State LB Cody Simon
- Penn State LB Kobe King
- Oregon LB Jeff Bassa
- Clemson LB Barrett Carter
- Minnesota LB Cody Lindenberg
- Auburn LB Eugene Asante
- Oklahoma State LB Nick Martin
- Cal LB Teddye Buchanan
- UCLA LB Kain Medrano
- Pitt LB Brandon George
- Florida LB Shemar James
- Miami LB Francisco Mauigoa
- Washington LB Carson Bruener
- Maryland LB Ruben Hyppolite II
- Utah LB Karene Reid
- Memphis LB Chandler Martin
- Iowa LB Jay Higgins
Linebacker is quietly a big future need for the Chiefs when you consider that Leo Chenal is a free agent in 2026, and the team can save money if they cut Drue Tranquill. If value and opportunity meet, don't be shocked to see the team add a linebacker to the mix.
Cornerback
- Virginia Tech CB Dorian Strong
- UNC CB Alijah Huzzie
- UTSA CB Zah Frazier
- South Carolina CB O'Donnell Fortune
- LSU CB Zy Alexander
- UCF CB Mac McWilliams
- Nebraska CB Tommi Hill
- Rutgers CB Robert Longerbeam
- UCF CB BJ Adams
- Western Michigan CB Bilhal Kone
- Tulane CB Caleb Ransaw
- Florida CB Jason Marshall Jr.
- Oregon CB Dontae Manning
- Oregon CB Jabbar Muhammad
- Hawaii CB Cam Stone
- Austin Peay CB Jesse Johnson III
- Mizzou CB Tre Johnson
- NWSU CB Cahleel Smith
The Chiefs already grabbed Nohl Williams in Round 3, so I'd be surprised to see a double-dip until Round 7.
Safety
- Clemson S RJ Mickens
- Ohio State S Lathan Ransom
- Oklahoma S Billy Bowman Jr.
- Penn State S Jaylen Reed
- Cal S Craig Woodson
- Georgia S Dan Jackson
- Kansas State S Marques Sigle
- Nevada S Kitan Crawford
- Alabama S Malachi Moore
- Wisconsin S Hunter Wohler
- Iowa State S Malik Verdon
- Maryland S Dante Trader Jr.
- Pitt S Donovan McMillon
- Navy S Rayuan Lane III
- Toledo S Maxen Hook
- Marshall S J.J. Roberts
- Syracuse S Alijah Clark
- Kansas S Marvin Grant Jr.
- Kansas State S Jordan Riley
Another position with some future needs, given that Bryan Cook and Mike Edwards are slated for free agency in 2026. If the opportunity strikes and the value is right, don't be shocked to see Kansas City snag another rangy deep safety.
Specialist
- Florida P Jeremy Crawshaw
- Miami K Andres Borregales
- Alabama P James Burnip
- FSU K Ryan Fitzgerald
- Arizona K Tyler Loop
The Chiefs don't need another specialist, per se. Yet, having Mr. Irrelevant does add some appeal to "jumping the line" and grabbing your top-rated punter to compete with second-year man Matt Araiza, who struggled at times in 2024.
