Colts safety Nick Cross has full belief that Anthony Richardson will turn his career around

Nick Cross was entering his second season in the NFL during Richardson's rookie year. And he gave a glowing endorsement for Richardson turning things around.
Cross has dealt with his fair share of adversity early in his career. He was beat out by a seventh-rounder for playing time during his rookie season. He only made four starts in his first 33 games in his first two seasons. Ahead of 2024, though, he finally seemed to be putting some momentum together in training camp and earned a starting spot, and he never let go, starting all 17 of the Colts games last season.
It led to a career season, with him recording a career-high three interceptions and 146 total tackles. His patience and ability to shut out the negative noise about his early career struggles paid off big for Cross. Richardson needs to have a similar mindset heading into 2025 because even though he has been the team's starter, he has suffered a public benching and onfield struggles up to this point. But dwelling on that won't help him in this upcoming camp battle with Daniel Jones. He has to use this opportunity to silence the doubters and leave no doubt that he is the Colts' best option at QB. And while we don't know how this battle will play out yet, it's clear Cross is in Richardson's corner.
