NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah answered questions for nearly two hours ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. And with that, he answered a very important question regarding the New England Patriots.
It's been unclear what the New York Giants will be doing with the No. 3 overall pick, whether it's selecting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Penn State star Abdul Carter, or another top prospect.
However, according to Jeremiah, they seem to have their favorite.
Spoiler-alert… It's Carter.
So what does that mean for the Patriots? .
"The last time I talked to people in that building (Giants) was before they did some of these quarterback workouts. So I'll check back in with them at the early part of next week and see if — let's be honest, they probably aren't telling me anything anyways. But I can at least try and see what you can learn from that experience," Jeremiah said. "But it feels like Hunter, 2; and then Abdul Carter, 3.
"And then with the Patriots, I just have continually heard that offensive tackle was going to be addressed, and I have continually heard that that's Will Campbell's spot."
So it seems the LSU tackle is a shoo-in to be playing in Foxborough this upcoming season.
"Teams are not universal in the slotting of these tackles. In fact, I've talked to–in the last 24 hours, I've talked to three teams who aren't in the range to take tackles so they can give me an honest answer of how they stack these guys. And I had one team that was a Will Campbell the top, I had one team that was Armand Membou at the top, and I had one team that was Kelvin Banks at the top," Jeremiah continued. "So it's not universal around the league, but the feeling in talking to folks is that Will Campbell is really well-liked inside that building in New England."
A starting left tackle is the biggest roster hole for the Patriots this offseason, needing to bring in a steady presence to help protect Drake Maye and allow him to make plays. So, it seems New England feels the best person to do so is Campbell.
Patriots trading for Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller would give them a prime opportunity in 2025 NFL Draft
The New England Patriots need a starting left tackle, and it seems one might be available. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Wednesday that Raiders tackle Kolton Miller is not participating in the voluntary offseason program because he is looking for a contract extension. However, the Las Vegas Raiders have "not engaged in contract talks with the former […]
