The Tennessee Vols are hoping to swipe 2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys from the LSU Tigers.

Keys has been committed to LSU since March, but he's continued to take visits to other programs while keeping in close contact with various coaching staffs.

Tennessee feels like they have a good shot to flip Keys, but LSU is doing everything they can to hold on to the nation's No. 1 wide receiver.

Miami and Texas A&M are also in the mix to flip Keys from the Tigers.

Keys spoke to On3 this week about his recruitment and he had plenty of great things to say about Tennessee.

“Tennessee I’m in love with the coaches, recruits, players, all that," said Keys. "I like the environment, fanbase, all that type of stuff. They just make me feel comfortable.”

Keys also said that Texas A&M and Tennessee are "very good" at NIL (which will factor into his final decision).

For now, Keys is still committed to LSU. According to Rivals.com national recruiting analyst John Garcia, Keys was recruiting players to LSU at the OT7 event in Florida this past week.

From Rivals.com: Sporting an LSU hat and back pack Thursday, Keys said he was there recruiting LSU players like Calvin Russell to the Tigers although his own recruitment remains somewhat open. Miami, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Alabama are the primary threats to the Tigers but there is no “final decision date” in mind at this time. The flow of the 2025 season and even the coaching carousel could have an impact before this one is decided.

This is a recruiting battle that may not be settled until the early signing period begins in December. That's why it's important for Tennessee's wide receivers to produce in a big way this fall. If they don't, Keys could decide that the Vols' offense isn't the right fit for his obviously elite talent.
