Titans linked to an NFL superstar after major surprise team emerges in trade talks for the first overall pick in 2025 NFL Draft
Titans have a surprise suitor for No. 1 pick.
INDIANAPOLIS – With the Tennessee Titans listening to offers for the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, a major surprise team has emerged during combine week in Indianapolis.
According to Mike Florio, the Dallas Cowboys have reached out to Tennessee about moving up. That’s the rumor swirling around the halls of the Indiana Convention Center this week.
The Cowboys are currently sitting with the 12th pick in the draft.

"I did hear yesterday… you hear all sorts of stuff. And I don't like to traffic in stuff I've heard because I don't know how accurate it is. But I did have somebody tell me that the Cowboys have talked to the Titans about moving up to number one,” Florio said on 105.3 The Fan on Thursday morning at the NFL Combine.
You can't help but wonder about what the return package would look like for a deal like this to happen. 11 spots is a long way to come up, especially for the number one overall pick and a presumed quarterback.
One way they could get it done is by including superstar outside linebacker and former Defensive Player of the Year Micah Parsons in the trade.
“Now I think a lot of teams talk about moving around and I don't know if you guys have heard that. But that's a jump and I don't know what you would have to put into that or whether you'd have to put Micah Parsons into that package if it would go that way," said Florio.
Parsons has logged 52.5 sacks in 63 career games with the Cowboys. He is just 25-year-old and headed into the final year of his rookie contract. It's time for Parsons to get paid. It would be a dream for the Titans. Which is exactly why I don’t see the Cowboys doing it.
I'm sure Dallas has interest in moving up for a rookie quarterback to develop under Brian Schottenheimer. It feels like it’s time for a Cowboys QB change. But I think it’s far more likely that they called Tennessee to check in and learned that the asking price was too steep for them.
Titans GM Mike Borgonzi said earlier this week that he had “high expectations” for a return. I can’t imagine he sends the pick to Dallas without Micah Parsons or multiple first round picks coming back his way.
