The Philadelphia Eagles were not as active at the start of this year's free agency as they were last spring, leaving them with some major holes to fill in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
Some position needs following their first wave of free agency moves include, edge, safety and cornerback, tight end, defensive tackle, and guard.
The Eagles are slated to have eight picks in this year's draft, which should be more than enough to fill some of those holes.
Eagles 2025 NFL Draft Picks:
1st round, No. 32
2nd round No. 64
3rd round, No. 96
4th round, No. 134
5th round, No. 161
5th round, No. 164
5th round, No. 165
5th round, No. 168
With that said, here's a look at a seven-round mock draft where the Birds address their needs and then some post-free agency.
Round 1, Pick 32: EDGE Mike Green, Marshall
There are mixed reviews with Mike Green heading into the draft. Some experts say he will be a sack machine while others believe he's inconsistent.
Either way, there is a lot of potential with drafting Green and not only will the Eagles' front office see it but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will see it.
Round 2, Pick 64: OG Tate Ratledge, Georgia
Make that seven Georgia Bulldogs on the Eagles' roster.
Tate Ratledge is considered one of the top interior offensive linemen and "NFL ready" which means he could be the perfect fit to replace losing Mekhi Becton to the New England Patriots in free agency.
Round 3, Pick 96: TE Elijah Arroyo, Miami
Elijah Arroyo brings plenty of versatility to the table in the passing game as a catcher and as a blocker in the run game.
That's what the Eagles will be looking for in Dallas Goedert's replacement.
Round 4, Pick No. 134 CB Mello Dotson, Kansas
Mello Dotson, 6'1" and 190 pounds, is a playmaker in the secondary and someone who could help fill the void of Darius Slay.
Round 5, Pick No. 161 OT Tre Wedig, Indiana
The Eagles are big fans of versatility, especially on the offensive line and Trey Wedig is one who can play at both tackle and guard positions.
Round 5, Pick No. 164 LB Jack Kiser, Notre Dame
Landing Jack Kiser in Round 5 would be like hitting the jackpot. His consistency as a blocker is unbelievable with an impressive 4.6% career missed tackle rate.
Round 5, Pick No. 165 S Shiloh Sanders, Colorado
Don't let the talk of Shiloh Sanders' pre-draft process fool you. He's very explosive and considered the hardest-hitting safety in the draft.
Round 5, Pick No. 168 RB Dylan Sampson, Tennessee
The Eagles' run game has become their team identity and sure they have Saquon Barkley, but replacing Kenneth Gainwell is one of their focuses this offseason. If Dylan Sampson is still on the board when they pick Round 5, it would be silly to let him go.
