The Tennessee Vols put themselves in a great position to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament thanks to their thrilling win against the Alabama Crimson Tide this past weekend.

Tennessee has two games remaining in the regular season (at Ole Miss and at home against South Carolina) before the start of the SEC Tournament.

If the Vols take care of business against Ole Miss and South Carolina, they should earn at No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament regardless of what happens in the SEC Tournament.

Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes, however, knows that the key for his team to "take care of business" this week is to quickly move past the thrill of their win against Alabama.

"I told them today you like to play against a happy team and we are happy,” said Barnes during Vol Calls on Monday. “We have to get unhappy real quick because the fact is this week is a big week to close out the regular season…You want to do that on a good note knowing you have Ole Miss in Oxford and then Saturday [against] South Carolina."

Barnes is spot on. The worst thing a team can do going into a game is to be still riding high from their previous win. The Vols need to enter their games against Ole Miss and South Carolina this week with an edge. That's the only way Tennessee is going to finish the job in the regular season and earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

Fortunately for the Vols, it sounds like Barnes is well-aware that he needs to make sure his team quickly forgets about the win against Alabama and instead keep their focus on Ole Miss and then South Carolina.
