The Bills are the kings of the AFC East. They know it, we all know it, even Josh Allen's fiance Hailee Steinfeld knows it. They've owned the division for five straight years. As they enter the offseason aiming to improve their roster in a quest to make it six straight on their way to a Super Bowl run, their opponents in the division aren't exactly making moves that strike much fear into the hearts of Bills Mafia.

The Jets' circus involving Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams has taken its final curtain in New York with the news that the Jets have officially released the veteran wide receiver.

The 32-year-old star wide receiver is now an unrestricted free agent, and the Jets save almost $30 million in cap space heading into the new season. Adams showed in his time with the Jets that he still has plenty of ability, catching 67 balls for 854 yards and seven toucdowns in only 11 games.

Now, it's safe to think there will be a strong market for the best receiver on the open market, but where he ends up playing may be determined by what happens with his longtime quarterback. For what it's worth, I'm sure the Bills will inquire, but they aren't a team I expect to go give Adams top dollar.

For the Jets, it marks a major turn of events, and creates even more uncertainty around their future plans. Maybe they get aggressive in the 2025 NFL Draft, trading up to select who they believe will be their next franchise quarterback. Either way, it looks like the Jets are closer to the rebuild side of the spectrum than the competing side, having plenty of holes on the roster and no answer at quarterback.

The Patriots have plenty of improvements they need to make, and the Dolphins have been inconsistent at best in recent years with a quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa that has struggled to stay on the field. The path to locking up the division is once again open for the taking for Josh Allen and the Bills as Beane aims to make this roster one capable of playing championship football.
