Brian Kelly and his staff will be hard-pressed to follow up or exceed their impressive 2025 recruiting haul for the LSU Tigers, but they're certainly doing their best to pull it off. The Tigers continue to surprise, finding themselves in more and more final battles for top recruits around the nation and now they're set to host perhaps the most important visit weekend of the entire year.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 (among other local sources) confirmed that the LSU Tigers will be hosting a long list of high pedigree recruiting targets amid spring practices this weekend. The headlining talents include Anthony Jones (EDGE), Ethan Feaster (WR), Bowe Bentley (QB), and Zaden Krempin (IOL).

Now, just like any other massive recruiting visit weekend there are different types of targets on site. A few of the top recruits are already LSU leans or commits. Others are more long shots to land. So, to help LSU fans sort through which names matter most and could actually land with the Tigers let's tackle the top options by likelihood of heading to Baton Rouge for their college careers.

Most Likely LSU Recruiting Targets

Anthony Jones is the most likely recruit of the bunch headed to LSU this weekend to end up with a true five star rating. He's going to be a tough target to land given his long list of recent contacts with both Alabama and Auburn, but LSU is still in the mix here. The Tigers were on him early, so the long-standing relationship may be rejuvenated with this visit. If so, it's likely LSU earns an official visit for this summer alongside at least a couple other SEC rivals.

Ethan Feaster is probably the most important recruit that LSU will have on campus this weekend. Feaster's a fringe five star talent (worst-case high four star) with explosion and production too incredible to miss out on. There's been significant momentum with both Texas and Texas A&M off and on (plus USC and Miami), but Feaster has also been extremely complimentary of LSU throughout his recruiting journey emphasizing their success in sending players to the NFL. He already has LSU scheduled as his final official visit this summer, so nailing this weekend could be what pushes him over the edge in his decision to be a Tiger.

Safety recruit Aiden Hall is already committed to LSU and just announced that he has "shut down" his recruitment. Hall should play a critical role in convincing the other prospective recruits visiting this weekend to join him in his confidence to land with LSU.

Bowe Bentley is one of a few key QB recruiting targets for LSU and the obstacles to overcome in landing him seem limited. Oklahoma has been pursuing him heavily too, and if Georgia misses out on five star QB Jared Curtis they may divert their attention to Bentley, but LSU is firmly in the mix here. One good weekend could lock in an official visit for the summer. The Tigers will certainly need a few potential options to consider in replacing Garrett Nussmeier after this season, so Bentley could prove quite important.

Asharri Charles, a top 150 edge defender, hasn't had a ton of visit action, and just like with Bentley the competition still seems rather open. Yes, he has three official visits set this summer with Miami, Louisville, and Missouri but there's still room for LSU to hop into the final battle.

Zaden Krempin has been a busy young man this spring visiting what seems like all of his top schools and locking in official visits for the summer. LSU is one of the four final visits with him already, but they need to use this visit to differentiate themselves. Michigan seemed to gain some momentum with Krempin this spring as his lead out-of-state option. Texas and SMU are leading for his in-state choices. LSU did a good job patch-working the offensive line with the Transfer Portal this cycle, but Krempin would help them with homegrown trench talent.

Long Shot LSU Recruiting Targets

Jamarion Carlton is a hot name in recruiting right now as a rising edge defender talent, but he's almost assuredly staying in Texas. All of his official visits scheduled are with in-state schools like Texas A&M, Baylor, and SMU. It would take quite the pitch from Brian Kelly and company to seriously shift his gaze.

There's almost no shot that either tight end visiting lands with LSU, but the team seems pretty set with emerging star Trey'Dez Green anyway. Heze Kent already has five official visits scheduled for the summer and LSU isn't one of them. Israel Briggs is already committed to Arizona State and he's from California.

Don't expect to hear much buzz about these three recruits, but the other six visitors could all certainly land with LSU in the coming months. Let's hope Brian Kelly and his staff can use this critical visit weekend to stack their 2026 class with at least five or six more blue chip talents.
