The Michigan Wolverines appear to be in danger of losing a key 2026 four-star commit.

2026 four-star cornerback Brody Jennings has been committed to Michigan since late July.

Jennings, 6-foot-1/175 lbs from Jacksonville, FL, is rated by On3 as the No. 16 cornerback in the nation and the No. 19 player in the state of Michigan.

The talented defensive back told On3 this week that he has a great relationship with the Wolverines' coaching staff, which has helped keep his commitment strong, but Jennings is still taking looks at other programs.

Jennings has official visits scheduled to Illinois, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia (he also has an official visite scheduled to Michigan).

Florida, specifically, is a program that appears poised to swipe Jennings from Michigan.

“Florida is one of the schools that is right there with Michigan,” said Jennings to On3. “I like how Florida produces top defensive backs. They are close to home too.”

If Jennings is hoping to stay close to home, it could be tough for Michigan to hang on to the four-star recruit (Gainesville, FL is just over an hour away from Jennings' home town of Jacksonville).

Georgia is another program that's also working hard to flip Jennings.

There's still a long way to go in this recruiting battle, and official visits will almost certainly play a big factor in how Jennings' recruitment plays out, but it's clear that the Wolverines are going to have to fight to keep the Florida native committed.

One thing working in Michigan's favor is the fact that they'll receive Jennings' final official visit this summer (June 20).

The Wolverines currently have three players committed to their 2026 recruiting class. Jennings is the highest-rated recruit out of those three commits.
