"What up, Chiefs Kingdom, man," Omenihu said via the Chiefs' official X page. "Just put pen to paper. 9-0 is back. Much love to you all. We're going to have a great year."

Will 2025 be the year of Charles Omenihu for the Chiefs?

Due to various circumstances, Omenihu hasn't yet had an entire season in Kansas City. However, he's optimistic that 2025 will be his year to show what he can accomplish with an entire season of play. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to convey the message.

"Give me a full season to do this right and see what the results are," Omenihu wrote. "Appreciate those who don't believe and those who do."

In 2023, Omenihu was suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy for the season's first six games. Upon returning to the field, Omneihu had a dominant late-season stretch, resulting in seven sacks. He'd suffer a season-ending ACL injury in the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.

That injury and his recovery would ultimately cost Omenihu 11 games during the 2024 NFL season. He played just 23 combined regular-season and postseason games over his two seasons in Kansas City, missing 18 total games, including Super Bowl LVIII. In the 23 games he played, Omenihu recorded 46 tackles, eight for loss, 10 sacks, five forced fumbles, and three batted passes.

Ideally, an entire season of play allows Omenihu to prove himself as one of the NFL's top and most versatile defensive linemen, both for his sake and for the team's success in 2025.
