FOXBOROUGH, Mass – Stefon Diggs is back in the AFC East, but instead of wearing a Buffalo Bills jersey, he will now have to face them twice a season.

The receiver spent four seasons with the Bills before being traded to the Houston Texans in 2024. There, he had a lot of success, recording four straight 1,000 yard seasons

And, he certainly got experience playing against the Patriots.

But, instead of being a visitor in Gillette Stadium, this is now his home.

“I had a lot of fun here. I lost some games here, too,” Diggs told reporters at during his Patriots introductory press conference. “It’s going to be extremely fun. I’m excited to be back in the AFC East. There’s a lot of good teams, teams I’ll see frequently and the players, so I’m excited to say the least.”

However, during his time with Buffalo, he never imagined that one day he would be playing for another AFC East time.

"I kind of center myself on where I am, so of course back then I would have never see that," Diggs said.

Diggs' time in Buffalo came to a controversial end before he was traded in April. There were many reports that his relationship with Allen was declining. Specifically, he was traded less than 24 hours after the receiver replied to a tweet explaining that Allen didn't need a game-changing receiver to be great by saying "You sure?"

So, Buffalo sent him to the Texans along with a a sixth-round pick, while the Bills acquired a 2025 2nd.

While he has since proved their is no bad feelings regarding his exit from Buffalo, this is an opportunity for him to show them that he is still at his prime. Plus, every NFL player can't help but want a little revenge against their former team.

Now he gets two opportunties a season to do that.
